You do know this claim is based on an idiotic premise that somehow his mother needed to pretend he was born here for some citizenship benefit, right? Children are US citizens if born to a single US parent regardless of the place of birth. Your kids don't lose their citizenship because the mother was out of the country when the kids were born. This is a fact the media did little to point out.Because there was some question as to whether they simply registered his birth or he was born there.
In addition, travel to Kenya was no simple feat in the 60s. There were no direct flights between Kenya and the US. There was no public airport in Mombassa, only a military airport. Mombassa is the birthplace listed on the fake birth certificate that surfaced a couple years ago. The Obamas would have had to travel overland (in the 60s in Kenya also no easy feat) to Nairobi to fly out. It would have taken a couple days to get to the US and even longer to get to Hawaii.
Then there is the little problem that Obama Sr had another wife in Kenya he had not formally divorced so it is unlikely they would have traveled to Kenya at that time.
The entire story was not just a fabricated lie, it was implausible. But who cares about facts or truth when your primary goal is to tarnish a political opponent.
Why? Why should a person have to refute every crackpot that makes a claim, "I've been told by people"? That's all anyone's ever had here.He should have released it a long time ago and the fact he has now shows that.
