I'm wondering if Kavanaugh actually gets confirmed after all of this, if the level of meltdown among the progressives will be nearly as satisfying to watch as November '16.

Dare to dream.

Progressives in meltdown mode is always satisfying, and a sheer pleasure to watch. But defeating Hillary was as good as it gets. The Kavanaugh nomination, enjoyable as it has been, will soon fade from memory right after his inevitable confirmation. But still, we can thank the hysterical Dimms for giving us a few weeks of joyous laughter at their expense.

Now imagine if RBG keeled over on Monday?

Then would the meltdown be atomic?

Did it ever stop after the election? I haven't noticed. It does peak up a little more now and then. Getting non stop triggered must be tiresome. I'm surprised the faux outrage hasn't turned into protests. Someone is slacking. Where's antifa to break some stuff and be violent to people they disagree with?

John Adams and John Quincy Adams. Harvard
From Hellbound

Richard Nixon. Whittier College??

It embittered Nixon for life that he actually got a scholarship to Harvard, but his family needed/kept him at home.
Nixon was offered a tuition grant to attend Harvard University, but Harold's continued illness and the need for their mother to care for him meant Richard was needed at the store.

Your understanding, as has been demonstrated multiple times, is wrong.

"The American Bar Association urges the United States Senate Judiciary Committee (and, as appropriate, the full Senate) to conduct a confirmation vote on Judge Kavanaugh’s nomination to the Supreme Court of the United States only after an appropriate background check into the allegations made by Professor Ford and others is completed by the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

Wemake this request because of the ABA’s respect for the rule of law and due process under law. The basic principles that underscore the Senate’s constitutional duty of advice and consent on federal judicial nominees require nothing less than a careful examination of the accusations and facts by the FBI.
..."

Your turn.

Are you making the claim the body of the ABA held some kind of vote or conference and collectively wrote this statement? The chair of the committee said it was not from the body, but from the individual. The article you've pasted that from also says its a letter from the president. Not a statement from the body.

I'm making a claim the President of the ABA speaks for the body.

Again:

See the hilited parts ? That means he speaks for the organization.

The chair was right to claim the letter is from the president, and not from the body. It is his signature at the bottom of the statement as well. You know as well as I do that no vote or conference formed that document. The president "as acting spokesperson" made a statement. Not the body of the bar.

Re: Lindsey Graham's meltdown and false outrage...

It's one of those moments that will go down in history, but not for the reasons Graham wants it to.
I really wonder what's going through his mind. There are rumors that it was an attempt to get into Trump's good graces so that he might get appointed to Trump's cabinet, but given the amount of turnover and/or the possibility of Trump losing the next election that could be a very short term position (so he's gong to leave a relatively comfortable senate position for a year or 2 in cabinet.)

Perhaps he's trying to set himself up for a presidential bid, but not sure if trying to be a Trump clone would work for him (since he can't claim to be an 'outsider').

OMFG.

Since the president is the head of the ABA,it's a distinction without a difference.

You have evidence for your hilited claim ?

Hey, I just wish Republicans cared as much about the good of the nation as they do about pissing off liberals.

What rule of law is being violated by going forward with the vote.

Is that the right standard here?

It is not a question of whether or not there is a law here, it is how desirable it is to have someone with such a dubious background on the Supreme Court. And by "dubious", I mean there seems to be credible reason for thinking that an investigation should be conducted.

Or possibly he believes what he said.

You do understand that the bar consists of nearly 400000 members? These members did not vote on the issue or make the statement. The president did as a spokeperson (check the calendar, or if you need more evidence request it)

You should also understand that Brett Kavanaugh's ABA rating remains unchanged.
