I clearly remember every single social gathering I ever attended in high school (decades ago) don't you? Certainly I would remember if I went to a house for brewskis with Patrick Smyth, Mark Judge, & Brett Kavanaugh in the 80s. Who could possibly forget that sort of thing?

Seems like Dr. Ford "forgot" that the party she went to did not include BK.

PJ and Leland did recall that

I'm wondering if Kavanaugh actually gets confirmed after all of this, if the level of meltdown among the progressives will be nearly as satisfying to watch as November '16.

Dare to dream.

If having the GoP be known as the party of misogyny and sexual assault makes you happy, go for it.

I would think that even you would want to get to the bottom of this before making a decision as to whether this guy gets to sit on the highest court in the country.

I have no idea of Kavanaugh did the things he is accused of.

Maybe, maybe not.

If he did, it would appear that he was an idiot when drinking while young. This validates my lifelong choice to never become intoxicated by any means. That choice has served me well.

Since it doesn't seem to be able to be proven that he did these things, I think he should get the benefit of the doubt and things should proceed as though these accusations hadn't surfaced. It would be a different matter if they could have been shown to be true.

If they were more convincing and proven, I would advocate for Trump nominating someone even more contrary to what the left wants.

As it stands, I hope he gets confirmed and I hope it causes total anguish in the left. I hope it drives them to act even more insane.

Party over country, and if it upsets the libs/leftists/porgs/dems then it's all a-ok!

Pretty much, yeah. That's where I'm at now.

I consider the United States to be a failed project, and even if Kavanaugh did these things, I want a win over the left here.

I want them defeated and acting unhinged.

I firmly believe that the progressive agenda spells total destruction for the civilized world. Not a doubt in my mind about that.

I used to be quite a partisan democrat and Obama/Gore lover. Big Clinton fan too. I attended his second inauguration and enjoyed that.

The Republicans have all sorts of faults too, but at least they make half-hearted efforts at upholding some of the pillars of what makes a society function.

The left is just chaos. Ever-increasing chaos.

Want to know the definition of "Hoisted by one's own petard"?

Yesterday, Kavanaugh twice referred to the American Bar Association's support for him. He actually called the ABA "the gold standard."

As of this morning, the ABA is calling for delaying the vote until a proper investigation is carried out.

Seems to me that having an actual investigation to see if it can be established whether or not he did these things is more appropriate.

As I understand it that is not true.

The president of the ABA called for it as an individual. Not the body of the ABA. This was specified during the hearing by the chair.

Re: the highlighted, why do you assume it cannot be demonstrated whether he did this or not?

As one comedian said recently, if only there were some body, a bureau if you will, that could act on a federal level to investigate these matters?

If you were not so utterly dismissive of the charges it would seem reasonable enough that the allegations are investigated. If it turns out that he is innocent, then what is the problem?

I believe that when one of the senators asked Kavanaugh if he was described in Mark Judge's book, he replied, "You'd have to ask him!" so why not do so then?

Seriously, you are putting schadenfreude above justice. How do you justify that?
