New Disclosures on Benghazi

If this is your poetry, keep the day job.

It was, apparently, written by a Raymond Maxwell. 16.5 just appears to have added random quote marks around the first part, which, I guess, could mean he wants to claim credit for the second.

For it's inclusion here, though, I would have to echo ANT's "Um...okay."

Show me a quote where he calls Gibson and/or Hicks an idiot.

http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs...bert-gates-on-benghazi-there-just-wasnt-time/

And frankly, I’ve heard, “Well, why didn’t you just fly a fighter jet over and try and scare ‘em with the noise or something?” Well, given the number of surface to air missiles that have disappeared from Gaddafi’s arsenals, I would not have approved sending an aircraft, a single aircraft – over Benghazi under those circumstances.

With respect to sending in special forces or a small group of people to try and provide help, based on everything I have read, people really didn’t know what was going on in Benghazi contemporaneously. And to send some small number of special forces or other troops in without knowing what the environment is, without knowing what the threat is, without having any intelligence in terms of what is actually going on on the ground, I think, would have been very dangerous. And personally, I would not have approved that because we just don’t it’s sort of a cartoonish impression of military capabilities and military forces. The one thing that our forces are noted for is planning and preparation before we send people in harm’s way. And there just wasn’t time to do that.”

Note the references to Hicks' specific claims.

The poetry is from a later victim of the Administration farcical Benghazi actions,

Which would be who?

I'm not surprised you aren't aware of it.

Sorry, I'm not a connoisseur of terrible and whiny poetry.

Fixed it! Looking forward to the demonization of Maxwell.

And you think he was unfairly disciplined because...why, exactly?

Getting caught up, huh? So with Hicks and Maxwell, that seems like two people who are being subject to adverse employment actions by the Government.

Nuland is bucking for a promotion!

Why do you feel he was treated fairly?

Now some poetry:

“The web of lies they weave / gets tighter and tighter / in its deceit / until it bottoms out – / at a very low frequency – / and implodes…Yet all the while, / the more they talk, / the more they lie, / and the deeper down the hole they go… Just wait…/ just wait and feed them the rope.

The Queen’s Henchmen / request the pleasure of your company / at a Lynching – / to be held / at 23rd and C Streets NW [State Dept. building] / on Tuesday, December 18, 2012 / just past sunset. / Dress: Formal, Masks and Hoods- / the four being lynched / must never know the identities/ of their executioners, or what/ whose sin required their sacrifice./ A blood sacrifice- / to divert the hounds- / to appease the gods- / to cleanse our filth and /satisfy our guilty consciences."
Wishful thinking does not an argument make. But it can come up with fatuous poetry.

8 months, three hearings and....

Sounds of crickets chirping amongst the ramblings of a lone true believer.

Criticizing mediocre poetry is the same as "demonizing" in your world? Lolz.

Hey, who knows what is going to stick, right?

Make sure you start out RIGHT AWAY with calling it "whiny" and bam, you are off to the races with ad hominems and insults.

Greg Hicks, idiot.

Raymond Maxwell, whiny.

This is a little something I did in the CT 9/11 forum. I made a prediction as to what would become of the CT, "nothing".

So, let me illustrate the difference between confidence and an absence of cognitive dissonance and uncertainty and lots of cognitive dissonance.

My prediction is that this will amount to little or nothing. 16.5, please to make a prediction. Given what you know who will suffer consequences for their actions?
If it walks like a duck. Quacks like a duck and looks like a duck it just might be wishful thinking. Wishful thinking based scandals are always short on evidence and accurate prediction.

I predicted nearly a decade ago nothing would come of the 9/11 truther movement. I'm on record now predicting little if anything will come of the Benghazi affair. There will be no impeachment. There will be no trial of Hillary. People are getting tired and moving on already. Take note of this thread.

The poem was ad hominem. Your attacks against Gates was ad hominem. Some day I hope you take a long look in the mirror.

How could ANT be "demonizing" Maxwell if she didn't even know who's poetry that was?

Interestingly, when I copypasta'd the first lines into google to find the source (sorry, 16,5, I didn't think you wrote it) a lot of the results were from fringe right wing sites like breitbart and freerepublic. I think the CBS article was 5th or 6th. I'm not entirely sure what to make of that.

Gee, the left wing fringe sites that have been linked to in this thread did not mention Raymond Maxwell's assertion that he was a fall guy for the presumptive 2016 Democratic Candidate? I'll be damned.

Maxwell was disciplined. Hicks' current employment position is because he asked for a transfer.

Nuland is bucking for a promotion!

You mean former foreign policy adviser to Dick Cheney, US envoy to NATO under Bush, and wife of the co-founder of the Project for a New American Century Victoria Nuland?

Why do you feel he was treated fairly?

Because he was disciplined as a result of the ARB Report's findings.

If he didn't give attribution and it's not his then it's a violation of forum rules.

I'm not sure what that has to do with poetry, though.

Sure he was, you've seen the entire report right? Because Maxwell hasn't.

Poetry:

A guy who worked up on the ladder
His career now broken and shatter'd
The talking points lied
four guys have died
And Hills asks what does it matter.
