Nevertheless, I'm at a loss as to why "Suspicion of Conspiracy" and Trump's personal involvement with/knowledge of such events as the Trump Tower meeting. wouldn't be a sufficient response from Mueller. Why do you think that wouldn't be sufficient?

This! Just as Mueller uncovered Manafort's et al's crimes, Trump was petrified Mueller would connect the dots to non-Russia collusion related crimes. And the SDNY may well have. I've never seen an innocent person act so damned guilty before.

And if he wants to claim "cooperating... except" that would be defensible. He seems to want to claim cooperation without qualification.

Yeah, that Trump apparently shrieked "Oh no, all my crimes!" when he heard he was being investigated didn't help his claims of innocence. Nor did his sudden burning of wheelbarrows full of binders labelled "Evidences, Do Not Read!!!"
 
I guess we know where that part in Bob Barr's hair comes from. Trump must favor his left hand to get it where it is on his AG's head.

I'd place the conclusion more at "boy howdy did they want to conspire with the Russians." It's just that Russian wariness, Trump tower meeting, and incompetent intermediaries, Peter W. Smith, prevented them from actually engaging in conspiracy.

If that was the case, why doesn't he pressure Russia into opposing China and their client NK?
Given how much we now know about Trump's entanglement with China, this is BS.
