What do you think happens when the insane, egomaniacal, wannabe-authoritarian orders someone to find something that simply isn’t there?

He put a complete sycophant (Koblach, the self-defeating voter fraud hunter who is now infamous for lying to judges and being in contempt of court for trying to deny people the right to vote). They made inquires and the part of the panel that wasnt made up of Trump toadies (and most of the panel that was) realized there was nothing at all to Trump’s insanity they made excuses about how lawsuits were preventing them from doing their work (which is utterly laughable). So they quietly disbanded the panel and hoped that, like you, the sycophant crowd would forget.

Huh.

Yeah, I guess Trump probably is pretty happy with that outcome, over a repeat of Bush v. Gore.

But I do apologize for minimizing Gore's appeal all the way to the Supreme Court as a "slapfight". That's obviously a much more serious and vehement protest of election results than a half-assed panel that does nothing and quietly disbands.

The reason it quietly disbanded was because it was partially considered unconstitutional. This perpetual excuse making for Trump is so strange.

Wasn't Gore just concerned about Florida? Trump wanted the ******* voting rolls for every state. It wasn't until he found out that most states were going to tell him to suck eggs that he wanted it quietly disbanded.

I make no excuses for the blue ribbon panel.

Nope, but you seem hell bent on making excuses for every other situation surrounding all of Trump's actions.

Reading through the last few pages, you've literally whittled your defense of Trump to "Sure, he says a lot of stuff, but what does he do? If he doesn't act on his horrible statements, and just says them, then why are we complaining?" Obviously I paraphrased.

Just in case Trump supporters are curious why no one takes them seriously, that's why. That defense is quite possibly the worst I've seen.

...Worst? I think another Republican's defense that I saw recently easily beats that one, even along similar lines. "Sure, I tried to kill you 7 times, but so what? I failed and now there's no chance of me succeeding because of the Democrats. You've got nothing to complain about, idiot!"

Yeah, seriously. Absurd? Yes. Will Republicans keep voting for the bastard? Probably.

The complaint is that Trump does horrible stuff. My rebuttal is that the stuff he actually does isn't particularly horrible.

Anti-Trumpists also have a huge equivocation problem. You equivocate between words and deeds. You equivocate on what I'm actually excusing.

Your argument seems to be that only idiots would listen to what Trump says.

Deeds certainly matter, but so do words, even if deeds might matter more. Plus, he's done plenty of horrible stuff regarding intimidating witnesses, failing to speak out in favor of the principle of an independent press, stonewalling the House (and not just about Barr or Mueller), etc.

Massive corruption, treating the law as if it doesn't apply to him, doing things that seriously harm and in some cases get hard-working Americans killed for no appreciable positives (like the lifting of coal safety regulations, though there are many things that similar can be said of), aiding and abetting first degree murder (Saudi Arabia), outright compromising himself to unfriendly foreign powers for personal gain... any of these are serious problems when it comes to deeds, let alone all of them at once. What's worse is that that's just a sampling of the deeds in question. That's before getting to the "words" issues, which, quite frankly, are also serious. Causing stochastic terrorism is still inciting terrorism.

He seems to have done plenty of horrible stuff on the Border, especially the child detentions. His attacks on constitutional norms are also pretty horrible. And even if all of his actions aren't horrible, which incidentally I am not willing to allow you, his language and his behaviour encourages the worst elements of American society to come proudly out into the open and parade at places like Charlottesville and chant vile racist and fascist slogans. He doesn't have to act to achieve horrible results, he gets those horrible outcomes from large parts of his base just by opening his inelegant, illiterate mouth!

The more important point: The Constitution clearly states that the President is above the law by Divine Right.

Good piece by Craig Murray directed at the clowns who still shill to keep this fantasy alive: The Real Muellergate Scandal

a real journalist said:
[...] Mueller, as a matter of determined policy, omitted key steps which any honest investigator would undertake. He did not commission any forensic examination of the DNC servers. He did not interview Bill Binney. He did not interview Julian Assange. His failure to do any of those obvious things renders his report worthless.

There has never been, by any US law enforcement or security service body, a forensic examination of the DNC servers, despite the fact that the claim those servers were hacked is the very heart of the entire investigation. Instead, the security services simply accepted the “evidence” provided by the DNC’s own IT security consultants, Crowdstrike, a company which is politically aligned to the Clintons.

That is precisely the equivalent of the police receiving a phone call saying:

“Hello? My husband has just been murdered. He had a knife in his back with the initials of the Russian man who lives next door engraved on it in Cyrillic script. I have employed a private detective who will send you photos of the body and the knife. No, you don’t need to see either of them.”

There is no honest policeman in the world who would agree to that proposition, and neither would Mueller were he remotely an honest man. [...]

It appears that modern conservatives are engaged in a form of false equivalence. They freely agree that Trump is as bad as they used to claim Obama was, and so can pretend this is just business as usual for the Executive Branch. The problem is that their claims about Obama were so histrionic, so over the top, while their defenses of Trump are equally over the top in the other direction. They downplay and defend everything Trump does, but even after having done their utmost best to elevate him, still can't make Trump look better than how they view Obama through their hatred and partisan filters. The Mueller report has made it plain and clear that Trump has committed felonies as POTUS, and is only not being charged for them because the DOJ won't charge a sitting President. Republicans think Obama should have been impeached because he wore a tan suit, and somehow in their mind Trump's having committed a felony is the same thing, not particularly horrible.

Are they fooling themselves? Because I don't think they are fooling anyone else.

Someone is fooling about 40% of Americans. Many of those aren't fooled, of course. They know exactly what's going on but they're just horrible – deplorable one might say – people with no interest in what being an American is supposed to be about.

SPYGATE CRIMES: Nadler abuse targeting AG Barr and @RealDonaldTrump designed to distract from the fact that the DNC/Dem Party apparatus has been caught using donor dollars to collude w/Russian intelligence to attack a domestic political opponent. @LouDobbs @JudicialWatch

This is exactly what makes Trump supporters traitors to their country. They look and see that Trump has sold the presidency to the Russians. They see how he obstructed justice. They see how he committed felonies and just hand waive it away.

The FBI should be ASHAMED! They used unverified OPPOSITION research to get a FISA warrant to SPY on an American citizen?! They NEVER verified it. They NEVER authenticated it. Heck, they never even tried to!

If you were @DonaldJTrumpJr & had already testified for 30+ hours about same damn singular meeting at #TrumpTower wouldn't you be reluctant to go before harassing politicians yet another time? Since there was #NoCollusionNoObstruction? I say fight vs. malicious, hostile intent.

Chuck Grassley: "I think about the time that he [Trump Jr.] spent hours w/our staff & testimony...everything post the Mueller report coming out & its conclusions of no collusion or any crime. What more is there to do now? You'll have to ask the people of the Intelligence Cmte."

Rep. Jim Jordan
@Jim_Jordan
Senate Intel subpoenas DonaldJTrumpJr He’s already testified for 25 hours. But they’re bringing him back based on Michael Cohen’s testimony, a guy who lied to Congress, came back, and lied 7 more times!

This is ridiculous. Mueller found no collusion. It’s time to move on.
