I've always found her capable, intelligent and quite funny at times with a dry sense of humor. She'd have been competent, for a starter! Her personality just never appealed to me. Her year should have been 2008.

I think age is going to play a large factor in 2024. Biden is unlikely to run for a 2nd term; if things go well, Harris is likely to be the presidential candidate.

Similarly, Trump will be old enough that running is doubtful, although I can see a scenario where Trump/Pence run, and if they win, Trump will step down (or die), letting Pence take over, whether by design or accident.

So Harris and Pence have an advantage due to age, Trump and Biden, not so much.

Someone should tell Trump that if he resigns and make Pence the President at just the right time, the lack of a Vice President will mean nobody can "preside" over the Senate's confirmation of the election, and that will mean the election didn't happen.

Yeah, I think one of the drawbacks for Pence is that he is associated with Trump but does not have the advantage of plausibly believing the wholesale denial of reality. Trump gets away with making up reality as he goes because it is expected of him, and people even seem to like his audacious ability to BS constantly. I don't know if anyone at all can follow that act. It seems to me that you cannot pretend to care so little about reality; you have to live it constantly. Trump constantly tweets the world as he sees it.

Are you kidding? If Trump found a VP (and he had many choices) anyone can. Pence doesn't even have to name his VP choice until after he is nominated.

Note that there are plenty of names ending in "Trump" that certainly would, assuming they can get past their egos to accept the VP slot.

LOL, it was kind of an in formal meal in some sort of community center, there were a bunch of other people there. I can't stand Pence so it was surprising to me that I would dream about him being a decent human. I guess a dream interpretor would claim he was some aspect of my own personality but I'm not sure I buy dream interpretation...
