Are those peaceful protestors or are you suggesting that all protestors are looters?
The former.
I heard it predicted that things in the country is going to get very bad very quick regardless of the findings. Anyone have thoughts on that?
The grand jury's decision is in. Get ready...
Word around here is it won't be until later this evening ~7 PM. However, my aforementioned godsons' school is letting out now.
It lets everyone get home and prepare.
Seems like if they indicted Wilson, there would be no need to wait to announce it...

It seems odd that they (whoever makes the decision of when to make the announcement) would choose to do so late in the day so close to nighttime since that gives an advantage to those who would seek to cause civil unrest in response to the announcement.
If the purpose is to allow law enforcement and the MNG to prepare for potential civil unrest then why not hold off for a day and make the announcement earlier in the day on Tuesday?
It could be a voluntary manslaughter charge rather than murder, which might still cause problems.
UPDATE 3:07 p.m.: Nixon's office has released the following statement:
Gov. Jay Nixon and Department of Public Safety Director Dan Isom will join St. Louis County Executive Charlie Dooley and St. Louis Mayor Francis Slay for a media availability at 5:30 p.m. today (Nov. 24) at the University of Missouri-St. Louis. They will be calling for peace and discussing preparations to protect the public and free speech, in anticipation of the announcement of the grand jury decision.
The statement confirms that the news conference will begin at UMSL at 5:30 p.m. today.

You're assuming only Brown supporters would react badly.
We started 12-hour shifts Sunday. No fun. I'm due to work till 6. All sorts of times floating around for the announcement... I've heard 5, 7... Rumors all.
We had a group on campus earlier handing out inflammatory flyers... they left before we could advise them of the "no soliciting" policy.
If they were evidence to indict, the whole grand jury process would be unneeded.
