Michael Avenatti thread

Porn stars are more honest and respectable than elected officials.

The president and other elected officials lie and dissemble and rarely admit they are wrong. Porn stars fake sexual excitement and freely admit that they do it.

Elected officials sometimes work together for the common good but often fight with each other just to get attention. Porn stars consistently work together for the common interest of the consumer and to get attention for themselves in the process.

Elected officials make unwanted solicitations for money. Porn stars don't call you at home begging for money so that they might actually listen to you. You might be able to call them for that, however.

Elected officials will **** on you and tell you it is raining. Porn stars only do that if you ask them.

All of that is true! It's also perfect support for my question as to why being a porn star should cause us to look down on her or berate her for it. I just don't get it. Plenty of jobs out there that pay their employees to **** people for money. At least everyone is fully aware of the intent in the adult film industry.

Not to mention that in the porn industry, they don't **** the customers. IN politics, all they seem to do is **** the customers :)

yes, but the settlement could simply be a nuisance settlement.

We have not confirmation of what the agreement was for, other than silence.

I thought the settlement was pretty explicit in that it called for her to not talk about their sexual encounter or to provide any evidence of such to any third party.

That does not sound like the language you would use in a nuisance settlement.

Nuisance typically refers to the cash consideration given, and while I am sure that 130k sounds like a lot for an illegal quartering case, to Trump and his ilk, that even walking around money.

In other news, awful human being who has had about the worst month imaginable announces today that he is NOT running for president in 2020.

Basta baby!

Avenetti announces he will not be running for President.
Too bad, It would have provided much amusement. He had no chance whatever of getting the Democratic nod,but it would have had a lot of entertainment value.

That's what so many, including me, thought in 2015 about Trump. We underestimated the stupidity of so many Americans. I won't make that mistake again.

Amusing but not what the Dems need. They don't need a **** show for a primary season that puts bloodied, damaged goods on the national ballot.

As noted elsewhere, Avenatti's client got a $293k judgment entered against her.

In response, Avenatti is having a total meltdown on twitter, claiming that she will never have to pay that judgment because she has a claim for reimbursement of attorney fees that she has never paid and has no liability to pay.

To sum up, judgment enforceable, claim unenforceable.
Claim for reimbursement, specious because she has not paid the fees.
assume she gets the fee award, she has to pay it to Avenatti which means?

She has an out of pocket debt of 293k!

What an incompetent schmuck.

Meanwhile, Trump's really competent lawyer....

Michael Cohen Sentenced to 36 Months in Prison.

"Federal prosecutors, having secured a sentence for Cohen, will now have to decide how to handle the fact that Cohen implicated the president in a felony of his own."

I laughed when I saw that Thirsty had set up a press conference for himself despite actively interfering with the criminal investigation.

The most dangerous place in New York is still between that ************ and a microphone!

:D

Checks in... sees that my admirers are ignoring the actual facts, making up arguments and knocking them right down....
