"Mass casualties" at crash at Nevada airshow

Seriously? My whole point is that there's no evidence that a 16 year old is an "acceptable risk" but a 15 year old isn't, and yet it's perfectly fine, and not considered ageism to exclude them from operating a plane. For some stupid reason though, if we talk about setting an upper limit on geezers, oh noes ageism!

Since you don't seem to be following this I'll lay it out for you in plain English; if you can cite a reason a 16 year old is acceptable and a 15 year old isn't then it's worth discussing how it can't be or shouldn't be applied to the elderly. Otherwise, you really don't have anything to say or contribute and you're just arguing for arguments sake. To be honest I think we reached that point pages ago.
.
At least you did, and failed to see it.

Early reports said there was a Mayday call. Did that prove to be in error?
.
Early reports sometimes come from fanboys, who -wish- things into existence.
When the F8F I filmed at Mohave was burning and going down, I heard someone yell.."There's a parachute!"..... No there wasn't!
The pilot in GG was unconscious.

Below is a video of the moment it all started going wrong for Galloping Ghost:

Can't tell a whole lot from that--his slow-mo is so full of double frames and artifacts, it's hard to tell anything like he claims, except the departure of the tab.
The tailwheel extension is definitely an indicator of high-g load--from all I can find, there is no "Up-lock" on it, merely hydraulic pressure to keep it retracted--and high g would overcome that.
And the load-3-seconds-show-it-stop-load-3-seconds on that video drove me nuts

What is the airplane equivalent of stepping on the accelerator instead of the break while in drive and not in reverse thus sending the car into the store in front of them?

Since planes don't really have brakes (when in the air)........
But I suppose inducing a high-speed stall at low altitude is close.

With the motor pulling over 100 inches of manifold pressure, when 60 is the usual maximum value, there's nothing left to accelerate with.
