London's "No-Go" areas.

People are always to ready to believe areas where they don't know are rougher than the ones they do know. A few years back, Mrs Analyst was working in Harlesden, while we were living in Wood Green (actually Bowes Park). A colleague once said to her, "I have to go over to Wood Green this afternoon. Is it rough?" Incredulous, Mrs Analyst said, "Er.... you work in Harlesden!" The point being that people outside of Harlesden are convinced that it's rougher than it is.

I'm a short walk from Harlesden station right now. I feel a bit silly for not realising I was supposed to be in a permanent state of terror until someone from another part of London visibly flinched when I said where I work now. Harlesden has a pervasive smell, but it's the McVities biscuit factory rather than fear.

Bloody Buddhists. Typically failing to pull their weight as victims. Stop chanting and start getting targeted.....

We considered targeting them a few times. When I was working at St Marks Studios in the afore mentioned converted church we were upstairs from the Holloway Buddhist Centre.
When a few dozen of them got chanting we couldn't hear the radio!

From the report : "By perceived, we mean the religion targeted by the offender."

I would wager a number of the victims whose "perceived religion" was muslim may actually have been Sikh etc.

That's a poor example, as Sikhs are generally easily recognised. But your general point is well made.

Damn. I have to travel from the peaceful depths of leafy Surrey to Kensington this evening.

Now I'm terrified, especially as I'm going close to the no go zone that is Buckingham Palace.

I don't own any body armour, or a machine gun.

Do I cancel, or hire bodyguards?

Just take Battersea Bridge and sneak up the back way. Hopefully her henchmen won't notice you. Good luck!
