Likely vice president running mates 2016

Kaine has some ethics issues. I think Vilsack would be the best of these three.

Donald handed her a gift by blunting if not rendering ineffectual his "Crooked Hillary" moniker in choosing Mike "FEC created rules because of my unethical behavior" Pence because of that she should avoid anyone with ethics concerns so I'd strike Kaine off the list over that. I think Perez is a solid dark horse because he brings an energy that will motivate people to go vote and voter apathy is the opponent the Democrats are battling in going for a third term more than the joke that is Donald. Listen to Perez give a speech and that's something that Vilsack probably can't match him on.

I like Vilsack but well aware picking him is just laying down a bunt single.

That's a really good play politically. It's Obama picking Biden to be his VP. There was nothing exciting about that 2008 but Obama and Biden worked so well together, criteria 1 from my list, that Democrats are sad that Biden has decided to retire.

Lefties watch out- The Pence debacle just might get Trump listening to Repub advisers.

We're watching but I think it's an exaggeration to say Pence is a debacle. That's a blip.

Any time Trump opens his mouth is a debacle. Now if you can only convince him to keep it shut for 4 months. Oh and stop him from tweeting.

There seems to be a silver and gold theme here...

Clinton / Kaine

Trump / Pence

Johnson / Weld

Will Jill Stein follow the trend and pick a blond running mate?

The first two tickets would be silver/silver if not for hair coloring. I've no idea about the L's. At least "Crooked Hillary" admits to coloring her hair.

ETA: And based on historical precedent (Ronald Reagan being the exception), the pres will be gray withing the first couple of years regardless. See Obama, Bush, Clinton the first.

ETAA: Weld is 70. Gimme a break. Then again, give me a BALD candidate for once. I still like Ike.

ETAAA: I just learned that Weld's first wife is the granddaughter of Teddy Roosevelt. That make's her Eleanor Roosevelt's first cousin, once removed. Cool.

ETAAAA: Oops, Teddy's great granddaughter, Eleanor's first cousin twice removed.

Gerald Ford, 1976: There is no truth to the rumor that Ronald Reagan dyes his hair. He's just prematurely orange.
