It's all about productivity and loyalty. After 50,000 posts and 10 years on the forum you get a manual and the keys to the executive washroom. The washroom is in a gas station in Florida and the manual reads like stereo instructions. But I'm told that after 100,000 posts I can get dental.

OK, got it.

Do I call you "sir", or "boss", or just "Your Eeeevileness..."?

Are there uniforms? A dress code?

Personally, I buy all my prognostication gear from the Seers catalog.

Personal attacks, bickering, and nonsense posts are off topic. Posters not interested in the teachings and Doctrines of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints should take their shenanigans to another thread in another section of the Forum.

Posters interested in the teachings and doctrines of the church of jesus christ of latter-day saints should take their nonsense to another reality.

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints also known as LDS /Mormon, is a Christian denomination, but is neither Protestant nor Catholic... it is the restored Church of Jesus Christ, with eternal doctrines and teachings dating back to the days of Adam, and to our pre mortal existence.

Mongooses are 33 living species of small carnivorans from southern Eurasia and mainland Africa of the family Herpestidae. Four additional species from Madagascar in the subfamily Galidiinae, which were previously classified in this family, are also referred to as "mongooses" or "mongoose-like". Genetic evidence indicates the Galidiinae are more closely related to other Madagascar carnivorans in the family Eupleridae, which is the closest living group to the true mongooses.

From Wikipedia. And it's about as useful as a thread OP than yours.

I think that I recall someone by the name of Joseph Smith said something similar after reading gold plates that were placed in the bottom of a hat. The gold plates were delivered by an angel who also provided stones that Smtih placed over his eyes so that he could read the plates in the darkness of the hat.

While I am sure that such stories make perfect sense to some people, however other people (such as myself and quite a few others here at JREF) prefer our non-fiction to be based on slightly more credible grounds.

Thanks.

Hell, I prefer my fiction to be based on more credible grounds.

"Chief spokesperson"?

Would you care to defend this construction?

Perhaps I was being too generous (no affront intended). You might, however, want to count his posts. If he isn't "chief" spokesperson, he's certainly about the leading spokespersons.

I speak for no one but myself.

There are nearly nine million posts on this forum. Randfan may have a lot of friends here, but his posts are his own, as are mine, yours and everyone else's. Your tactic is unseemly and childish. It does not distract us from your failures in supporting your arguments.

Spokesperson for what, though? This thread is about the Church of the Latter Day Saints. As a former member of that religious sect, he has topical information to share. As a current member, so does Cat Tale. Janadele may have topical information to share, but she seems to prefer mindless copy/pasting and preaching.

How about you?

What about the outspoken Brigham Young? Prophet speaking on behalf of racist God or misguided individual, a victim of his era, speaking on his own behalf? And has the Church formally and explicitly rejected Young's racist remarks?

First, you assume a hierarchy that does not exist. With just a bit more organization, this place might be considered an anarchy, on a good day. A moderated anarchy, but that's about it.

Second, "generous" is not even marginally appropriate. Your identification of Randfan was rude to him (affront intended or not), and to me, and to all other posters on the forum. He is prolific, and productive, but he is in no way a "spokesperson".

Third, he is neither the most prolific nor the most prolix. If anything, he has been very active on these threads because he has a deep background, and can tell more easily than I, and some other posters, when LDS D&Cs are being misstated.

Fourth, when do you intend to address the anachronistic elements of BoM, about which I and others asked you a long time ago?

Fifth, what is your take on the official distinction to be made among "people with 'black skin' " (even though no humans have black skin--human skin color ranges from pale pink to dark brown); "people of 'African descent' " (even though all humans come from African stock); and "people of 'Negro descent' " (even tough the term does not identify a homogeneity of heredity nor ethnicity, further, the term has been disavowed by the very people it is being applied to from without)?

There are other issues, but addressing those would be a start.

Inquiring minds would like to know.

I don't have any spokespersons on this issue. Leading, Chief, or otherwise.

Maybe you should stop getting (and taking this) so personal.
