Jesus created Sex

Someone who gleefully anticipates the wholesale slaughter of the entire human species at the hand of his "loving" God dares to lecture anyone on the tastefulness of crucifixion humour?

Your pretense of offence is its own parody.

K, yes you are trolling in my opinion, as you never say anything and never claim anything, and yet always complain when I do.

Try... this and SEE Masturbation and Sin, as learning and studying and doing can liberate....... in mind and body. It's so much better than complaining

Masturbation and Good Health

Not only is it physically healthy but As one Christian said:"Isn't it incredible that one of God's most beautiful gifts, masturbation, is held in such contempt by those who wear their religion on their arm. No one has ever become pregnant, impregnated someone, become diseased, or been physically harmed because of the act. I'd like to meet the person who has passed puberty without ever doing it."

You still have not gone insane. You have not gone blind. You have not grown hair on your palms. You are a completely competent member of society - despite all the times you've done it. Kinsey and the latest Sex in America report show there's a whole lot of shaking going on. Today's sex researchers have come to grips with the fact that masturbation has important physical and emotional benefits for both men and women.

Yes, I reported the inappropraiteness in my opinion of calling crucifixion FUNNY, but the moderator or moderators have so far not responded or deem it appropriate.

So be it.

I repeat crucifixion is not a flippant humoress form of entertainment or a joke or funny. It is torture and torture to the death is not funny, and I would have thought a whole group of people stating their flippant approval of it, inappropriate.

But if it appropriate here, so be it.

Don't Christians get down on their knees and thank god he abandoned his only son to die on the cross? I mean if Jesus had to die, god could have let him go in a much less painful way, what about some poison, drowning, quick decapitation, lightning, hole in the ground, STD (that would clear up some stuff), or just passing in his sleep.

No it sounds like we aren't the ones making jokes, apparently god was up there laughing himself sick over this, or enjoying it in some other way.

I suggest you report YHWH to the moderators and that you begin questioning your belief in a god who finds crucifiction so enjoyable. Perhaps you could look at Budhism.

But posting jokes that are laced with ethnic stereotypes are appropriate? hmm, very interesting.

I hope that if Jesus Christ joins this forum and starts talking about his death, you admins will handle it better than pandering to his complaints of Monty Python discussions...... You should obviously be calling Montel.

Pandering? Where was I pandering to anyone?

:gayflag: I mean

:istraight

I mean

:dl:

ah, there we go.

I think Roland Barthes also died that way--less sashaying, tho.

Be as offended as you want to be. I personally think you need to be vigorously offended until either your head explodes or you get over yourself, whichever comes first. Offence is the cheapest of rhetorical ploys and it is quite obviously a ploy from you - laughably so.

Hmmm. Dunno. 'Cuz chicks dig scars? :D

True.

Hero Peter - eh, okay.

Of course I would not expect you to recognize the difference, but there is a difference, , even on a subject as terrible as crucifixion, between making a joke or a play on words, and calling it funny in itself, wishing it on anybody, or advocating it in any way. Anyway, when you reported it, if you mentioned me by name, I hope that you also mentioned that it was my intention to give offense, because it was.

Rule 8 prevents me from expressing in fully descriptive language the contempt I have for your garbled ideas, your false prophecies, your hypocritical whining about remarks when you lard your posts with offensive, condescending, misdirected insults, your refusal to acknowledge any error, your mindless insistence that anybody who disagrees with you is false, godless and empty, duped by imagined conspiracies and doomed to some awful fate, which unlike crucifixion, you presumably find suitable and unexceptionable however cruel and arbitrary it might be.

So I will lay off the jokes, and simply say that I mean you offense because although I happen to agree to a point with your contention that churches are dangerous, I believe they are dangerous just to the extent that they behave as you do, preferring ludicrous delusions and imaginings to truth, arrogance to love, claptrap to considered faith, lies and name calling to rational discourse. You think yourself a prophet and a seeker of truth, but you would not recognize truth, wisdom or holiness if you tripped over it. You call yourself a lover of Jesus but you belong to the Prince of Lies. You think yourself a lover of Christ, but I see no evidence in your ratbag rants and distortions that you would behave any better toward him than toward anybody else, babbling texts like a Pharisee, just another voice from the rabble on Calvary.

Far be it from me to speak for our wonderful mods, but perhaps the reason is that holding a general opinion on any topic, even those some find distasteful, is not against the rules of this forum.

So be it.

Yup, pretty much.

I repeat crucifixion is not a flippant humoress form of entertainment or a joke or funny.

Real crucifixion isn't funny. Except maybe to the people conducting it.

But no one was really crucified in Life of Brian. And it is funny in this movie. Parody, satire, and pointed social commentary often are.

It is torture and torture to the death is not funny, and I would have thought a whole group of people stating their flippant approval of it, inappropriate.

Yeah, funny how that works in a free-speech society.

And whoever told you that you had the right to go through life without ever encountering anything that offends you......

...they lied.

Time and distance can make all kinds of things funny that wouldn't have been funny in the immediacy of the situation. Hence you get things like "Hogan's Heroes", "Springtime for Hitler" or Anakin Skywalker falling to the dark side*.
