Jesus created Sex

Well he's buggered off. Not surprisingly, he never wants to talk about why he ******* the ***** of his end-***** prophecy or how that makes him a false *******.

Jeezum crow, David, if I'd known it was going to yank your chain that hard, I'd have....I'd have...Well, I'd have said it sooner!

Seriously, anything is funny from the right angle, and it doesn't mean that it's funny inherently. People make jokes and sing silly songs about death, nuclear war, disease and whatnot, without anybody but some pompous self-righteous blowhard actually thinking that this is somehow depriving these things of their seriousness. Get a grip. Take a page from St. Lawrence and chill.

Sorry I missed all the fireworks (we met some friends for a jazz concert tonight). Here are the relevant posts regarding my comments and DJJ's responses.

You really need to go watch "Life of Brian". It really is funny.

H in your zealous nature to disagree with everything I say, you have again gone way to far in mocking crucifixion as if it is funny. Crucifixion is a painful agonizing way to die.

How can you people be so foolish and childish and so LOW and despicable... to laugh when someone gets crucified.

I should be shocked but nothing shocks me about a mob mentality.

is it JREF that makes you responders so vile, and rude and crude and out of control, or is it just your personal groupie nature that makes you group together to comfort one another in childish foolish mockery of crucifixion.

Will none have the conscience to speak up against such vile, as to mock crucifixion and those crucified.

For the mob beneath the cross also mocked the Lord and those being crucified. Are you any different. It seems not ?

Seriously, my responses to you are a response to the attitude you have displayed towards me and my posts.

H, you also can not blame me for your vile comment against crucifixion as if it is funny. Aplogise and you can clear your name.

Show some maturity even when those around you are not. Crucifixion is not FUNNY !!!!!!

Be an individual and escape out of the mob mentality, and stand up for what is right.

Crucifixion is a horrible torturuous death. AND NOT FUNNY. How could you people HERE be so vile and foolish and flippant without regard to any normal control over your writings. Are there absolutely no rules here?

I firmly stand by everything I said.

No, Joobz, don't slither out of your comments, mocking crucifixion. I didn;t make you choose sides, You choose to mock crucifixion. If not true, then start rectifying your words, and condemn those that mock crucifixion as funny. crucifixion is NOT FUNNY.
You know that crucifixion wasn't just used on so-called Jesus, 10 the thousands of people also were.

Paul

:) :) :)

How the sex..............

Exactly and crucifixion was not funny to them either.

Never ever in all my years on line have I ever meet so many people that were so foolish and so flippant about serious topics and were so 'out of control.'

Yay! Mad libs again!

Paul I won't report you for making a personal degrogatory comment against me because the moderators might enhance me and then I get marshmallows and possibly hiccups rather than you.

and hiccups can be painful. nothing funny about hiccups. Why, once I had the worst case...

DJJ, have you never heard of gallows humor, or black humor, or whistling past the graveyard, or irony, or the aerial view? All a little different, but all involve seeing things from more than one perspective. Seeing things from multiple points of view is a good thing.

Further, what is this "control" you speak of? Would you like to control the JREF members? Do you think it's possible that if you made something like factual assertions and responded to people's questions, that they might respond in kind?

My experience here has been that while there is something of a pack mentality, there's also a lot of different kinds of individuals. Who bicker with each other. Also, the mods try to be fair.

If you come to a skeptic's forum where the emphasis is on the scientific point of view, you ought to try to meet the forum members half-way, in my opinion.

But then, I enjoy the free-fall and the free-for-all.

Its so sad, that the ********** never **** you when you so blatantly ********* all the rules of civility.

I believe the words giving you trouble were "moderators", "ban" (although "suspend" would have been the correct word), and "break".

Please take the discussion of any issues you have with moderator action to the appropriate forum -- not here.

Well you Jesus people go around acting like he was the only one Crucified and you say he was a so-called god, so it is not a big deal.

Yeah, but when people try to crucify themselves they can never get that last nail in.
Man Attempts Suicide by Crucifixion.
Lt. Pierre Boucher said the man took two pieces of wood, nailed them together in the form of a cross and placed them on the floor. He attached a suicide sign to the wood and then proceeded to nail one of his hands to the makeshift cross using a 14-penny nail and a hammer.

"When he realized that he was unable to nail his other hand to the board, he called 911," Boucher said.

It was unclear whether the man was seeking assistance for his injury or help in nailing down his other hand.

And Koch... you come also to mock crucifixion as if it is funny. For your comments paralelel Foster who was mockingly saying that those crucified should 'look on the bright side.' Shame on you as well, as the mob has solidified and justified itself and encouraged others to join in with them.

The song in reference to Jebus is from a famous (and well known movie). As for crucification being funny, you obviously havn't seen it, I mean Mel Gibson makes it histerical.

Oh wait we were talking about Monty Python?

I was always under the impression that lots of people turned out to watch these things in the old days.

Well maybe you need to get out more, eh?

I apologize to calebprime for making light of hiccups.

This whole little spat started with DJJ's request for Bruto to delete his post. This is apparently how things work in DJJ's world. Facts and opinions that do not match his should be deleted or moderated, rather than examined and discussed. Heaven forbid that DJJ would ever have to admit to being wrong.

The classic example happened several months ago when DJJ invited people to post to his own private forum to discuss some of the "science" ideas he held. When another forum member (wollery, I believe) went to do that, DJJ edited wollery's original post without permission, and later claimed it was a "cut and paste error". This is DJJ's world. When something or someone disagrees with you, it should be deleted.

Davidjayjordan: with regard to my disputed post, I will cheerfully admit to blasphemy and bad taste, and since there is no forum rule against either blasphemy or bad taste (a good thing for you since by the lights of many such a rule would put you right out of business), I will of course not retract it. As far as incivility is concerned, it takes a very thin skin and a very low tolerance for diversity to consider such undirected blashpemy as a personal affront. Any speicific incivility beyond my general intent to be somewhat offensive is imagined by you, since as far as I know you have not yet been crucified except perhaps in your own imagination.

It seems to me that DJJ's response to your post has very little to do with the inappropriateness of the post and more to do with DJJ's sense of moral superiority. His desire to lump everyone who doesn't denounce you as accomplices to a poor joke supports my view. I wonder what he would hope to achieve or prove if he did manage to get a lynch mob to persecute you.

Though the foolish mock CRUCIFIXION and tortue and justify their remarks as just bad taste. And because of their immense false pride in their foolishness, they adamently REFUSE to apologise.

No wonder they can not make decisions or stand behind anything, they literally in their speech and surely their actions have no basis for what is bad taste or bad behaviour.

They in their mockery of crucifixion show that they could join the mob that mocked Jesus' crucifixion. No difference, for the heart of men and women is exactly the same.

Get real Joobs and quite slithering backwards and sideways. About five foolish flippant immature posters stated that crucifixion is funny and somehting to make jokes about, even though it is torture til death. Study it, research it.

So yes, they are morality inferior to the vast majority of normal people who hate hurting others and hate torture and hate seeing people suffer.

I didn;t lumop them together, their mob mentality meant they lumped themselves together by their own words. So quite excusing them and state clearly that you don;t think crucuifixion is funny. Have some balss and courage and quite being a groupie and stand up like a man.

So the foolish flippant and those condoning violence and torture and thinking suddering is funny can take the step to actually doing it, because they get out of control just like they can't control their tongues.
