Jeffrey Epstein arrested for child sex trafficking

Not real creepy actually.

I'd say the odds are more in favor of Clinton being in trouble. One of his best buddies, Anthony Weiner, was in prison for child porn related charges. Birds of a feather and all that. Trump may have some buddies in for the same reason, I don't know. And how old was that intern with the cigar? We know way too much about Bills sex life come to think of it.

Whoever is guilty should be thrown to the wolves no matter who they are.
Weiner wasn't into sex parties on his jet, yacht, apartment and island. So how is sending your dick-pics to a couple underage girls anything whatsoever like Epstein?

And Lewinsky herself said she was a consenting adult.

You might want to think these things through a bit more before you post.

The Epstein related rape accusation against the president, including witness testimony, put Trump in a clearer line of fire. Though Clinton’s close association is good reason to think he was involved too. We know plenty about Trumps sex life too, including rapey “locker room talk” and strolling into pageant changing rooms full of girls.
Be interesting to see what evidence they got in that raid and what people begin to say under questioning and emboldened people coming forward.

Miss Teen Universe no less.

Other than Clinton clearly associated with Epstein, do we have any evidence he liked the younger girls? Because I don't think so.

Here's something to get you up to speed on the Trump/Epstein connection:

I wasn't talking about the "Trump/Epstein connection", I was talking about your bold, unevidenced assertion with regard to being "on the side of the facts on every issue".

Your form/body of work on this forum strongly suggests anything but.

Looks like Trump/Russia the sequel is brewing. Two more years of lies, coming up. Based on nothing, of course.

You have interesting ideas of what "lies" are.

Is it a lie that Acosta is currently Secretary of Labor?

Is it a lie that Acosta gave a super sweatheart (and illegal) deal to Epstein?

Is it a lie that Acosta got his position after this sweatheart deal was put in place?

Bill Clinton didn't know Epstein until after he became President. I mean if you think Bill somehow was able to lose his own multilayered Secret Service detail to get into these lolita parties I'd like to know how you think it happened. Granted I don't really have much of an urge to defend Bill here. I mean the evidence will show what it will and if he did manage the aforementioned feat then let him go down.

Another note, my Twitter is generally very liberal and almost everyone on there feel the same way I do. If they find evidence against Bill then let him see justice.

And another thing, 4chan created a story about Trump kicking Epstein out of his resort. It isn't true as can be seen by the fact that screenshots exist showing them inventing the story to create a false narrative.

This is a March 2017 quote from the Washington Post, not 4Chan.
But lawyers for Epstein’s victims say Trump nonetheless may have useful information. Trump banned Epstein from his Mar-a-Lago Club in Palm Beach “because Epstein sexually assaulted an underage girl at the club,” Bradley Edwards, an attorney who represents three of the young women, said in court documents.

Did every client of Epstein knew for a fact that his clubs and parties had underage girls?

I'm not comfortable anymore with mere guilt by association charges, which in this case seem to be applied to Clinton and Trump, to name two big ones.

We've shot ourselves in the foot more than a few times with this crap. Do you think Hillary knew, blah blah, did Bill himself even know? Yeah we can find photos of them together with smiles on their faces, but what of it?

Regardless, 4Chan is still spreading the memes.

Twitter:
Upon news of Jeffrey Epstein’s arrest, right-wing troll propagandists on 4-Chan started developing counter-point messaging.

I’ve already seen this messaging repeated on Twitter.

It will be interesting to see how long it takes to reach Fox and the WH.

It's fascinating to watch this stuff spread thought the echo chambers.

Yeah, Trump may have useful information. For example, he might explain why Epstein wasn't immediately arrested after committing a sexual assault on his property.

Pelosi's daughter says some of their "faves" could be implicated in the Epstein case, so you guys are cruising the wrong side of the aisle as usual.
Have you thought that some people are not as partisan as you may think and will want to see anyone who has committed crimes that he has been accused off prosecuted, because it is simply wrong?

Realistically speaking here, do you seriously think a person who'd go so far as to sexually abuse multiple young teenagers for years would somehow have the self-discipline and composure to simply stop any and all illegal behaviour even if only for their own sake? I would not bet on it.

The extent and severity of his alleged criminal behaviour is, at least in these types of cases, itself a strong indication of his potential tendency to continue committing such crimes in the future.
One only needs to look at the reoffending rates of people that have spent long prison sentences and had their entire lives destroyed and now forced to live on the margins of society to see that even such extensive punishment doesn't stop them offending. To think that someone who in effect suffered no negative consequences for his acts would stop seems to me to be very niave.

Epstein is turning into a giant Rorschach test for the partisan hacks. People see his arrest as a coming doom for their political enemies and a vindication for their own heroes.

Seems much more likely that Epstein's criminal buds, if they are ever exposed, will not fall on partisan divides. This isn't a case of left vs right, but rather of rich people being above the law. Neither party has a monopoly on rich people that feel privileged to do whatever they like.

I will be curious how the political parties respond to these kinds of things. The Dems already have prior experience with ousting bad actors, even when it hurts (Weinstein, Franken, etc). Republicans have tended to circle the wagons and deny whenever possible (Moore).

If Epstein's crimes are 1/10 as severe as speculated, I can't see how any tactic of denial will work. Anyone with the stink of this guy's crimes on them is done.

Call me naïve and optimistic? :)

Well lets just put it this way: if compulsive criminals actually could control their compulsions they wouldn't be compulsive criminals. It was not like as if he was accused of just a singular one-time offence.

Besides, I've not read any actual official statement that said images he was in possession of were illegal. The closest I've seen is this:

Prosecutors said they seized hundreds, and possibly thousands, of “sexually suggestive” pictures of nude or partially nude young women and girls during a search of Mr. Epstein’s Manhattan townhouse on Saturday, conducted at roughly the same time the financier was arrested at Teterboro Airport in New Jersey.

The cache of photos, some of which were discovered in a locked safe that also contained CDs with labels like “Girl pics nude,” demonstrate the predatory attitude that Mr. Epstein continues to have toward young women, prosecutors said.

“This is not an individual who has left his past behind,” Mr. Rossmiller said.

https://www.nytimes.com/2019/07/08/nyregion/jeffrey-epstein-charges.html

If the illegality of the images were obvious i would expect them to state that instead of merely making the allegation that they were proof of his "predatory attitude". Hell if possessing such images was evidence of being a sexual predator then just about everyone who has visited a online porn website would qualify as sexual predator, considering there's no shortage of images and videos of "teens".

It could very well be that said images are perfectly legal, regardless of what the prosecutor is seemingly implying.
