It's time for a Ted Cruz thread.

Duchenne smile v fake smile?

Well he is quite the over-dramatic speech giver. His pauses are so over the top. He has a system, start the sentence, look down, count to 10, look up and complete the sentence with stern dramatic flare.

Way too over rehearsed.

She is like a tethered goat. When going after dangerous animals, hunters will sometimes tether a goat near their blind and wait for their target to show up. We already know that Donald Trump doesn't think Fiorina is likely to do well in one of his beauty pageants and Cruz is hoping that he will repeat some of the things he has said about her before. The temptation may prove overwhelming and Trump may end up saying something that proves fatal in the upcoming primaries. No other choice has so much potential for causing Trump to say something that hurts him with so many voters.

Cruz is "Lucifer in the flesh". According to John Boehner.

John Boehner talks election

“Lucifer in the flesh,” the former Speaker said of Cruz. “I have Democrat friends and Republican friends. I get along with almost everyone, but I have never worked with a more miserable son of a bitch in my life.”

Boehner also speculated about surprises that could come closer to the Democratic National Convention if Hillary Clinton’s emails became a larger scandal:

“Don’t be shocked … if two weeks before the convention, here comes Joe Biden parachuting in and Barack Obama fanning the flames to make it all happen,” Boehner said.

And yet, should he become the GOP nominee, many of those same individuals will feel compelled to sing his praises.

Carly Fiorina: Ted Cruz Will Say Anything To Get Elected

[qimg]http://www.internationalskeptics.com/forums/imagehosting/696355721b926c93ce.jpg[/qimg]

"I would say that Ted Cruz is just like any other politician. He says one thing in Manhattan. He says another thing in Iowa. He says whatever he needs to say to get elected, and then he's going to do as he pleases. I think the American people are tired of the political class that promises much and delivers much of the same." -- Carly Fiorina on CNN

Smells like hypocrisy.

That's why Trump is doing so well: people are tired of this nonsense, and we're going to all pay for it.

Satanists Reject Ted Cruz Comparison

Likening Ted Cruz to "Lucifer in the flesh" is deeply unfair to the Dark One, according to annoyed Satanists. After John Boehner made the comparison, adding that he had "never worked with a more miserable son of a bitch," the Satanic Temple was quick to distance itself from Cruz, Raw Story reports. "Cruz's failures of reason, compassion, decency, and humanity are products of his Christian pandering, if not an actual Christian faith," a temple spokesman tells the Friendly Atheist blog. "It grows tedious when pedophile priests and loathsome politicians are conveniently dismissed as Satanic, even as they spew biblical verse and prostrate themselves before the cross, recruiting the Christian faithful. Satanists will have nothing to do with any of them."

At least Boehner was joking when he said Cruz was "Lucifer in the flesh". More than a few on the religious right have intended it seriously when claiming the same thing about Obama.

The remarkable lameness of Mike Pence’s Ted Cruz endorsement

"The news came via Twitter Friday morning: Indiana Gov. Mike Pence was getting off the sidelines and endorsing Ted Cruz in advance of the Hoosier State's presidential primary on Tuesday!

"Break out the champagne, Cruz supporters! This thing is over! Close it down!

"Except not at all. If you look up "lukewarm endorsement" in the political dictionary, what Pence did on Friday is right there staring back at you. Pence clearly had misgivings — a lot of them — about choosing between Trump and Cruz, and even though he decided to go with the senator from Texas, he wanted to make very clear to all the Trump folks in his state that he didn't hate The Donald or anything close to it.

"The desire to have it both ways leads to what Pence did on Friday. His I-love-everyone-but-I-love-this-guy-slightly-more endorsement will amount, almost certainly, to a nothingburger at the polls on Tuesday. Heck, he was as — if not more — complimentary of Trump as he was of Cruz!

"This is the lamest of all possible outcomes for Pence. If you are going to endorse someone, JUST DO IT. If you really don't want to endorse, then just stand your ground and stay neutral. Trying to kind-of, sort-of endorse doesn't help you or the person you are endorsing.

"Swing and a miss for Pence. And for Cruz."

Gag me with a spoon. Cruz is giving his California GOP Conv. speech. He just spent the first few minutes telling us how incredible Fiorina is.

TBF, her performance in charge of HP was pretty distinctive, and if she became VP and (heaven forfend) something happened to Cruz, then she could sprinkle some of the same magic onto the whole US.

Dumb as a stump :D

Ted Cruz knows he has no way to win the GOP nomination outright at this point, and has even admitted that a contested convention is his only shot. However, he missed something huge about a contested convention when he named Carly Fiorina as his running mate. In a contested convention, the delegates pick the VP nominee, meaning Cruz can’t actually pick Fiorina—or anybody—for a running mate right now.
