It's time for a Ted Cruz thread.

Yep. CNN is reporting Cruz just dropped out.

Holy cow! I didn't expect that. Ted, what are you doing to us? I was counting on the R convention being extremely entertaining, now it might be just boring again.

Nate Silver is suggesting that in the end, some moderate Republcians decided that Trump was the lesser of two evils.
I can almost see that POV,that Trump is a con man who will say and do anything to be elected, but that Cruz actually believed the crap he was spouting, and in the end a con man is less dangerous than a fanatic. They could well be wrong, but I can see that POV.

I'm a liberal, and I think that too. Trump is an imbecilic loon. Cruz is a smart religious extremist loon. Trump, if anything, is probably the more electable of the two.

Oh, like with Adolf Hitler and the German conservatives, eh, dudalb?

Nate Silver is suggesting that in the end, some moderate Republicans decided that Trump was the lesser of two evils.

As Penn Jillette (at least that is where I heard it from) said: "Never forget that the lesser of two evils is still evil."

It still boggles my mind that in 21st Century America, after nearly 230 years as a Constitutional Republic, that the best man one of the leading political parties can put forth, is, to be as polite as I can be, a buffoon.

He's not a buffoon. An orange colored sack of Dunning-Kruger with a dead animal on top, yes, but not a buffoon. Buffoons mean to be imbeciles.

Yeah he is the lesser of two evils. Like stepping in puke is better than stepping in bloody puke.

I did want him to get the nom, but I wanted the convention to be a nasty and contested one. Now the GOP has 2 extra months to get Trumps campaign against HRC in gear.

Ugh, never before in history has an election gotten me this down.

I think that a lot of the usual GOP machinery is going to malfunction...a number of the conservative groups will think that Trump is as bad as Hilary, and declare neutrality. I think it's clear that is what National Review, one of the foremost conservative magazines,is going to do,and others will follow.

Holy *****! I didn't expect that. Kasich can't possibly win, or take enough away from Trump. What does that mean, now?

It means Trump is the Republican candidate for President of the United States of America. And that we're now right square in the middle of the Mirror Universe with little hope of return.

Yeah, I know. It took me a few minutes to process that. I guess the GOP has made peace with the idea.

Scary times.

I think they made a mistake.
And I detect a certain comtempt toward the American People in general in a lot of your posts.

I don't have any contempt for "Teh American People" who you seem to think yourself an unofficial spokesman for. Your mind reading skills are poor.

However, feel free to post the offending posts if you think you can back up your innuendo.
