It's a Civil War: What We Do Now

Cash for clunkers went broke. Yep, that was the goal. The goal was to take a set amount of money and use it to encourage new car buys (with more fuel efficiencies). When the money ran out that program ended.

You seem to be under the impression that the program was supposed to go impertuity? That's an odd conclusion for a fiscal conservative as that woudl cost a lot of money, right?

What happened to said clunkers?

Wildy, I'm make the same challenge to you that I have to all the others (which by the way, they've ALL ignored).

Name the sources you use and let's see how *centrist* they really are. :D

What exactly does this have to do with what I said?

How ironic given that we just witnessed democrat leaders ram a health care bill through Congress (by the slimiest of margins and using every slimy trick in the book to do it) when poll after poll showed that a clear majority of USAian citizens were firmly against passage of the bill. Yes, how ironic. :D

Let's see: Who won the last election? The Democrats. What was one of the key items on their agenda? Health care reform. Don't get me wrong: I don't like the legislation that was passed, or the concept of health care as an entitlement, for that matter, but all the whining about it being somehow against the "will of the people" is nonsense.

Most of the provisions of the health care program don't take effect until 2014. Republicans have ample opportunity to win the next two elections and rescind or revise the program. But until they win an election or two running on that platform, they have no grounds to claim that the Democrats are forcing this on the people against their will.

Let's not forget why it doesn't go far enough... because the "party of NO" wouldn't have had it any other way..

I love how republicans have their nonstop smear campaign running to the point of making half of America sick of hearing about healthcare reform, then they call dems "slimy" for using whatever resources they are left with, after the barrage of negativity pursued to destroy healthcare reform by the GOP and it's propaganda machine..

BaC, do you still really believe you're a bipartisan?

Love how they pulled out the "kill Granny..."

imagine if the GOP decides to not vote for the Start 3 treaty, which was just agreed to by Obama and Medvedev. Thousands of extra nuclear weapons, thanks to the GOP.

Thousands of extra nuclear weapons can make some people very happy...
