No actually, Shiachat.com - their forum is blinging.
Sorry, I was born in 1970. Could you clarify this for me?

At any rate, I am unable to find any Islamic source that mentions that music is punishable by molten lead in the ears.
Yes indeed they are both quite evil. I do remember hearing recently that the quran threatens hellfire approximately 100 times more frequently than the bible however. Barely a verse passes without hellfire this, hellfire that in the quran so it seems fair to say Islam is many times more evil than Christianity by that token.
So by that count Christianity is more evil since Jesus says only people who are baptized and believe in him would go to heaven.
which is where your "Jesus saying" comes from. And for good reason they don't have these verses! The earliest manuscripts and some other ancient witnesses do not have verses 9–20.
So we have hell for non-believers, as well as safe poison-quaffing and snake-brandishing for believers. For the last 200 years, this passage has been challenged as an interpolation, and, like the editors of the NIV version of the scriptures, I think most scholars deny Marcan authorship of these verses.15 He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation. 16 Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned. 17 And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues; 18 they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well.”
Interesting that both have banned music!I suspect such sites are as useful in judging Islam as Baptist sites are in judging Christianity.

It might be if it were true. I'd be surprised if Baptists banned music. Certainly they don't in the UK, and I thought the Baptist churches in the US were particularly known for their gospel choirs.
Al Kitab go to heaven according to the quran?! I thought it said they'd wind up in hell! Could you possibly state the sunnah/verse where that is stated? I confess I haven't had the patience to read the whole quran it drones on so :yawn:In fact in the quran it says that the "people of the book" (i.e. Jews and Christians) along with moslims would go to heaven if they are righteous people. So by that count Christianity is more evil since Jesus says only people who are baptized and believe in him would go to heaven.
Also...here is a philosophical question for you to ponder over.... if someone kills 1000 people is he less evil than a person who kills 10000?

Oh my days ROFLThis is the same "numbers fallacy"...
Oh my days ROFL
Does this mean you can't cite a source, like Foster Zygote asked for?
No need to stay aggy B, there's more than one source direct.
I guess I stopped naming sources after I quoted Iran's "Supreme Leader"
because I didn't want to trivialise that stuff.
Could you be more direct? Are you disagreeing that it is a logical fallacy?Oh my days ROFL
What does the flashiness of the site have to do with its veracity?"Blinging" = impressively financed, well managed and professional looking.
But look at http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Mark 16&version=NIV which is where your "Jesus saying" comes from. And for good reason they don't have these verses! Elsewhere, Mark knows nothing about eternal damnation. So Christianity is probably only just as evil as, rather than more evil than, the other Abrahamic faiths.

Try Qur'an 2:62. It's one of the Medinan verses.
Exactly. This seems to be a common theme with xianity believers, the double standard that they can ignore whatever parts of their scripture is embarrassing or silly but other religions cannot do so.What I think is stupid is your argument that the negative aspects of the Koran must be taken literally by Muslims and put front and center when evaluating Islam as a whole, while the negative aspects of the Bible can be dismissed as allegories not meant to be taken literally when evaluating Jews and Christians.
And this xian believes his religion's scripture allows him to molest children, including marrying twelve year old girls.Saudi Cleric Muhammad Musa Al-Sharif Defends the Marrying Off of Under-Age Girls in Saudi Arabia: "Atheists, Christians, and Fornicators Are Responsible for Human Rights Treaties".
