As a former male model you have no idea how hard it is to make a living. 9 of 10 modeling jobs go to women. Catalogs are seasonal work at best. I know guys that haven't seen a runway in 15 years.
And don't get me started about porn. You need a second portfolio, which aren't cheap, because "head shots" are a totally different thing.

You can't trust the international mail. It's why I wait from one week to three weeks longer for my pensions checks (a.k.a. ElfGrinder's hard-earned money).

There are legitimate "men's health" issues, and I'll accept the possible good that raising awareness and funds do while eschewing some of the strange bedfellows (read: MRAs) supporting both Movember and International Men's Day. The rhetoric, for those of you who haven't had the pleasure of "discussing" the topic with the MRA faction is that this is needed because the nasty feminists have co-opted charities and cancer research to their own feminazi ends is just absurd. Men are not being oppressed. We really don't need a day to boost awareness that basically men have ruled the world since Uk discovered that he could bash Og over the head with a club and take his cave and woman, both.

I agree that men are not oppressed. There are of course issues that men face more than women and it's worth talking about (and vise versa) which is why it's disappointing to see supposed champions of equality try to suppress such things.

How about even just a day to celebrate men? I actually think a day is needed (for women either), but if people want such a day, there is nothing offensive about it. To have people come in with accusations of misogyny and shut it down is just ridiculous. And there are actually legitimate mens issues, many of which the current feminists don't want people to discuss
