I read about "hot saucing" on the internet

I am upset that this thread has nothing to do with kinky sexual practices
We can change that, if you like.:)

I think this gets to the heart of the issue. We aren't trying to create a bunch of hot sauce fetishists or haters here. Of course I'm not sure of any discipline that someone couldn't fetishize or turn into a phobia in some way.
Feel free to join us on the other thread.

Spanking does not imply a degree of force.

As somebody with a lot of experience with BDSM, I can tell you that it is absolutely possible to spank hard enough to leave deep bruises that take weeks to fade.

So how do you practice hitless reiki spanking? Seems like a strange concept.

True. However, there is a connotation when using the word spank that is much different than using the word hit or beat. It implies that it is much less severe.

All depends, it is a method of striking not indicative of force. I do wonder how you practice your non hitting contactless spanking.

The same way I practice my non running form of runningless walking.

And that non breathing respiration.

Hit does not indicate force and neither does spank. It is spanking if it doesn't leave a mark or if it leaves serious welts. So break out your belt and have fun, it is not hitting or beating.

Connotation is everything.

Most of the time, yes. However, the skin can be reddened, the same as if your girlfriend slapped you on the cheek. Or was she beating you?

or if it leaves serious welts.

No. That is beating. See, more with the connotations and the accepted use of words.

So break out your belt and have fun, it is not hitting or beating.

Belt? No, you don't spank with a belt. Why so over the top?

Then you're making an emotional argument.
You're welcome to do so, but in my humble opinion it subtracts from the debate.
Let's see. If I call it 'hitting', because I don't believe in white washing 'spanking', that's emotional.

But if you object to calling it 'hitting' because it bothers you when 'spanking' is not white washed, that's not an emotional argument?

From the Free Dictionary:
spank (spngk)
v. spanked, spank·ing, spanks
To slap on the buttocks with a flat object or with the open hand, as for punishment.

slap (slp)
a. A sharp blow made with the open hand or with a flat object

blow (bl)
1. A sudden hard stroke or hit, as with the fist or an object.

hit (ht)
v. hit, hit·ting, hits
a. To come into contact with forcefully; strike.
strike (strk)
v. struck (strk), struck or strick·en (strkn), strik·ing, strikes
a. To hit sharply, as with the hand, the fist, or a weapon.
b. To inflict (a blow).

Yes, it is about framing. But you are framing something one way and I'm framing it another way and both have connotations that reflect our underlying premises about the act. This is the nature of OPINION, it's not about empirically being right or wrong.

Worse yet, normal bathroom behavior could well cause irritation to more delicate areas.

I slice and dice habaneros to prep them to make then into a powder.

The juice, if embedded under your fingernails, will burn for days and you'd swear satan himself peed on your hand.

Soap and water will prove ineffective. Isopropyl alcohol is your only hope of clean up, and works only if you get to it before the burning starts.

Thanks for telling me this now, jerk, where were you 4 or so years ago?!

I am a huge fan of hot sauce, and one day, i was at my old job, and a friend of mine who is rather known for getting rare food and food items comes up to me with a bottle, that honestly looked like it was made in a basement without even access to any kind of label making program (the best way i can describe it is someone had a friend make a label, then they re did it by hand, then photocopied it, and every 50 or so copies, replaced the original with a copy.) Apparently he had been to the states and went to a few towns known for their hot sauces. .

The hot sauce was awesome , and very, very hot. Probably in a fight for my first favorite hot sauce. It made the onion rings ( the only hot sauce appropriate food that was left in the work cafeteria at about 10 at night. ) , even when microwaved, pretty awesome.

Now, about 12 am rolls around ( we worked the graveyard shift.) and i have to go take a whizz. I take my whizz, and incidentally touch my eye. ( if it seems weird i didn't before, we worked in a call center, and my hands were occupied typing most of the time.).

About 12:30 and i feel like the descriptions of some kinds of STD's. which obviously worried the living crap out of me. Then the eye starts watering, closing, etc. By about 1 am, i can't really walk, my eye doesn't want to open, and i have no clue what is going on.

My supervisor ( friend of mine at the time. ) asks me what is going on ( it was that obvious.) i take him aside and explain the symptoms. His reply is fairly instant:

" Didn't you have that hot sauce bob brought?"
" Yes... what the hell does that have to do with what is going on?"
" You know that hot enough hot sauce can cause burns right?"

So i took a portable eye wash into the bathroom, and eventually, both eye and Johnson ( in that order, of course.) were back to a reasonably comfortable state, considering the trauma they had been through. Which is to say, it wasn't getting any worse. The next day i got a much deserved payed day off for a workplace injury.

Speaking of BDSM, long ago a person I was corresponding with was preparing for a large BDSM play party at her house. She was busy chopping the habaneros and thinking about the party. After a while she became so distracted that she decided to go relieve some tension. Her comment on the result was priceless;

"There is NO SAFEWORD for hot peppers."

I've only seen Mrs B in genuine agony 3 times. Two were in childbirth and the third was after she'd chopped seriously hot chillies and had then gone for a leak.

It wasn't funny really. She was 'off games' until I stopped cackling, which was at least 10 days.

A friend of mine had a crawfish boil last summer. He puts a LOT of spices and pepper in his boil, almost a painful amount. Anyone who has eaten crawfish knows what a mess you make. You are pretty much covered with it, especially if you are drinking the requisite amount of beer. The next day, one of the neighbor couples came back with a story. It seems that they went home and he started to 'pleasure' his wife. It also seems that crawfish spices tend to remain on your hands and under fingernails if you don't scrub enough. She was in a very painful state for a while, and very embarrassed that he told.

I saw the video of the woman who was doing this plus putting her little child in a cold shower to discipline. I believe it was an episode of the Dr. Phil show.

Then, I looked at a video of the effects of child abuse on the brain. It was startling.

I must be dense because that still makes no sense!

Oh, they're just saying that nobody (or at least they) knows the difference between using a word that implies swatting someone on the butt and a word that implies socking someone.

A lot of these punishments have unforseen consequences. I remember as a ten year old my Dad caught me smoking cigarettes. On my godmothers advice he bought a box o cigars and sat me down to "smoke myself sick" on them.
It didn't happen, the sickness that is, and he gave up after four cigars.

As to unforeseen consequences; do you know how hard it is for a 10 year old to afford cigars?! Even if he could it is almost impossible to find someone that will sell them to you.
Plus I have just kicked the habit a few years ago; on my 40th birthday!!

Spanking is a form of hitting. Like chugging and sipping are forms of drinking.
