Ed How Christian Fundies (aka Conservatives) plan to teach genocide to schoolchildren

And what would have Michelle Bachman done of she were President? Nothing.

How do you know this?

This whole trying to make the religious right look like the Taliban is ridiculous.

Then take it up with them. I am only pointing it out, they are making themselves look like the Taliban.

I'm still reading and I have yet to find a fact in anything you say other than the guardian wrote a Christian-bashing article and you linked to it.

Read it again.

Your links don't support your assertion

REAL fact: Christians dominate the most powerful nation on the planet.

Where did I say that?

However, they go around shooting people right now.

Really? One incident? 5 incidents? I might as well give you the Nostradamus award right now. A paranoid schizophrenic will again strike out and kill people? Wow.. that's an amazing prediction.

And the violence we have seen from Christians and Muslims in the past?

Whole wars fought over it.

Actual genocides.

Millions killed for being heretic or infidel.

Mass suicides.

Religion spoils everything. And will keep spoiling everything until extinct to the point that we deal with the few remaining religious as psychiatric cases because the only ones left will be hearing voices.

This stuff will ALWAYS happen. If there is no religion it will still happen... and it won't happen any less.

It's true, without religion people will still hate and kill each other. It is, as someone once put (possibly on this forum, I can't recall), x-1 reasons people will have to hate and kill. Any reduction in reasons a positive in my book.

But of course religion has it's plus points to compensate for the bad... if I could just remember what they were...

Specifically and pointedly anti-religious regimes were responsible for the biggest genocides in history and numerous wars of their own as well.

How is that BS?

It's a dishonest debate tactic. If you call 'bs' you shift the burden of proof, even when the facts are trivially and obviously in the public eye.

"Victory mosques" are a well known Islamic tradition.

You did not answer my question. I shall ask it again: Is there even a single case of the proposed location of a new Christian church which faced anywhere near the same kind of scrutiny and virulent opposition as that faced by the so-called 'ground zero' mosque?

(I will note as well that have you provided no evidence whatsoever that demonstrates the so-called 'ground zero mosque' was a so-called 'victory mosque' which is what your comment can be seen to imply it was.)

You do realize the Taliban have killed, tortured and disfigured thousands of people?

Define "New" please. I'm pretty sure that I can find examples from the past 2,000 years or so where a (relative to the time) "New" church (of any religion) was more vehemently opposed than that Mosque was. :D

Murdering non-Christians is a well known Christian tradition.

Admittedly christians like murdering christians with the wrong beliefs just as much. See the conflict between catholics, orthodox and Muslims in the former Yugoslavia.
