Cont: House Impeachment Inquiry - part 3

Perhaps.... I'd be going with more like a Jefferson Davis/Abraham Lincoln thing where it very much depends on your perspective and how history plays out. Either way, he will be remembered as a significant figure. For him to be remembered like Benedict Arnold, Mueller would have had to have reported something definitive.

Or he has to be seen as a Lying Scam artist who partnered with a 9/11No Planer who was a no planer because of his known Racist views. That he lied so Obviously that it
Insulted the intelligence of every man woman and even Child I America.
That the Lie was put out by his Propoganda machine not smart enough to do a five second Google search.
That he Used Intimidation and Threats to cover up the lie and that he was a very Crook from the start.

You’re on 5th Avenue with the dictator your president could be. What’s in his hand, back at your president, he has it. It’s a gun. Look again, the gun is now smoking, and a body is bleeding out at his feet. Nobody cares. Anything is possible if the spoiled child thinks he can get away with it.

I’ve read The Rise and Fall of the Third Reich several times.

One thing that stood out was the incremental slide from Democratic Republic to a situation where summary executions in the street were suddenly acceptable.

Pardoning a Navy Seal for summary executions of civilians seems a step towards normalizing such behavior. We’re not there yet, but the first stirrings of such atrocities is hard to deny.

Lt. Col. Vindman has been fired from his position at the WH. Trump's vindictiveness is on full display.

Yup. Just hearing it now on the news.

Trump and his minions are bound and determined to turn the US into a dictatorial Banana Republic.

The November 2020 election is looking more and more like it's going to become the most important federal election in US history. The future health and welfare of the nation depends on it. Literally.

:boggled:

If you come at the king, you better not miss.

Nobody should expect to keep their job after trying and failing to get their boss fired. To be honest, I'm not sure why anyone would want to. You'd think Vindmann would have turned in his resignation as soon as the Senate finished voting. Rather than keep working for a President he doesn't believe should hold office.

He was called to testify, he gave an accounting of what he knew. No "trying to get their boss fired", just deciding not to lie for his benefit.

By waiting until Trump fired him, he's illustrating just how petty and vindictive Trump is.

I'm pretty sure military people agree to defend the country and constitution rather than a particular president.

Lt. Col. Vindman and his twin Yevgeny (also a Lt. Col.) have both been fired. If that isn't vindictive I don't know what is.

This epitomizes GOP thinking. Vindman wasn't going after the King. We don't have Kings in America. He was doing his sworn duty to follow the law.

It's a figure of speech. Outside of fiction, it almost never applies to a literal king. What's more important to you? Having a conversation? Or being trivially "correct"?

Speaking of Kings, I couldn't help but have a vision of Trump with a crown, shouting "Off with their heads!"

The point is that Vindman wasn't going after Trump. Vindman took a principled act and doing his duty.

His firing was not justified. You should be outraged, not laughingly saying this is what the man gets for having the character for standing up for America.

His firing was just another despicable act of vengeance by a very despicable man. So much for supporting the military. I bet you feel proud.

Trump's saying, "**** you and everyone who looks like you!"

He's saying " I can do whatever the **** I want and nobody will do a damn thing about it. All Hail Me!"

I wonder if Sen. Collins still thinks Trump "has learned his lesson"? Idiot

Let's impeach him again for firing the two Vindman brothers, **** for what we say, ***** and giggles.

And Nancy, do it just because you can.

Make it for the record books, the only President to be impeached twice.

And he really didn't fire them, just had them reassigned, that's actually the job of the house of representatives if I remember correctly.

No, they were fired from their jobs on the National Security Council. They were "reassigned" because Trump can't fire anyone from the military.
