No, popular belief is that people often mistake the pictures of corpses from Buchenwald and Bergen-Belsen for gassing victims and therefor photographic evidence of the holocaust.

It is evidence of Nazi attrocities, which are not denied by most deniers, rather played down by blaming the allies for the food shortage and lack of medical care in the camps by bombing Germany or pointing out allied attrocities like Dresden or Hiroshima.

the OP title is: Holocaust deniers, explain this.

suggesting that 'this' would be somehow confronting for them. It suggests that 'this' would be evidence of the holocaust. It is not.
so there's nothing for the deniers to explain.

On the other hand it is challenges like these that makes HD-ers clap their hands and jump for joy, since they can easily win this argument and blame you for being ignorant.

ps, maybe I'm getting you wrong and the title wasn't meant to challenge HD-ers, and was just an open question to them...

Download the movie Gawdzilla linked to in the OP. Play it from 28:30. You'll see citizens of Weimar walking to Buchenwald, escorted by GIs. See how well-fed they are and well-clothed and healthy. So why did they have food and the camp inmates not? There was enough food in Germany, after all, to feed the rest of the population.

And why were those inmates in the camps anyhow? What had they done wrong?

The deniers never address this point.The answer is that they had done nothing wrong,just like Saggy the Nazis hated the Jews.

Exactly. The Third Reich had many methods to achieve their aim, which was to remove that which was not Aryan from their society. 'Those people weren't gassed by the Nazis, but shot (or worked to death, or starved, or weren't treated for curable conditions, etc) by the Nazis, so that proves the Holocaust didn't happen' is a ridiculous argument. It doesn't much matter to me exactly how it got there, the hands of Nazis were red with the blood of millions of people.

Of course the holocaust isn't limited to gassings, it is estimated that about a half of the Jewish victims were killed that way.

I've been to Auschwitz-Birkenau a couple of times and if you stand out there in midwinter you wonder if those that were murdered on arrival weren't the lucky ones.
 
Saggy,why didn't the Nazis just leave those people where they were? They weren't doing anybody any harm.Oh wait,they were Jewish,so that makes it ok by you.Why do you hate Jews?

Millions of Jews were deported to Poland. And yet, after WW2 only around 300,000 Jews remained in Poland.

Where did the hundreds of thousands of Hungarian Jews go?

Where are the 125,000 Czech Jews?

Where are the hundreds of thousands of Romanian Jews?

Where did the 3 million Polish Jews go?

Where are the French Jews?

They surely didn't go to Israel. Cause after WW2 only around 2.5 million European Jews moved to Israel.

They will argue that you are mistaken. That these pictures don't prove the holocaust.
And they are right.

These photographs show horrors from Buchenwald. Which was not an extermination camp.
So these victims probably died of starvation and/or disease. Anyway, not by gassing.

The reason that these people died in that manner is usually blamed on the allied bombing of German infrastructure and factories.

A better question is why does the census always claim to have six million Jews in America decade after decade? Are they afraid to reveal their real number here?

What happened in Buchenwald, Bergen Belsen, Dachau and other camps imn Germany is somewhat different in that these camps were not equipped for efficient mass murder. They were labor camps and also places where horrible experiments were done. Most inmates that died were not shot or gasses but succumbed to starvation or desease (some of which inflicted on purpose by so called "doctors"). "Only" about a fourth of those who died in Buchenwald were Jews.

So while the pictures show that horrible crimes happened at some concentration camps, they do not show anything that has much to do with the holocaust proper.

Why not claim all the camps were extermination camps? Wasn’t this the original Holocaust Lie to begin with? Later the incredible shrinking Holocaust begins to get smaller and smaller.
