Happy Rapture Day Everyone!

I wonder what it must feel like if you were one of the fools truly convinced the world was going to end ..... and then it didn't.

Welcome to hell on earth! :w2: :)
But all those people who claimed today was the apocalypse are still here. I'm beginning to think that just maybe they didn't know what they were talking about. Or perhaps someone forgot to remind Jesus to end the world today.

Maybe we're in heaven. I'm pretty happy. I've been laughing heaps yesterday and today. I've got a nice drinkie and roast chicken soon for dinner. The fundies are all miserable. What more do I need?

Taiwan Rapture Animation

Found this lovely educational rapture animation from Taiwan:

Screw, that. I'm off to find some of the afflicted and mock them right now.
.
Sent off an e-mail about it to many of my true believer friends.. nothing came back, yet... ya think they all went?

Many of them will be looking at maxed out credit card bills... Joy will not be in heaven.

I´m thinking about that couple that spend their life savings and had TWO small children. :(

So, Rapture day was rather uneventful for me.

I took my wife to a Styx concert. I went to an REO Speedwagon concert with her last month and she said she'd go to the Styx concert with me. I'd seen Styx (minus my favorite - Dennis DeYoung) perform a few years ago in Salt Lake City, and it was a fun concert then. Sadly this one was not nearly as good - they played about an hour and a half - and even then a couple songs were 'covers'. Not completely lame, but I could see it from here. Hate to admit, but Speedwagon did a better concert.

Tommy Shaw and Dennis DeYoung - now that was a good pairing.

I kept a lookout for cars careening off the Interstate but nada.

Oddly enough I had one contact with a rapture believer. One of my wife's clients called all concerned about it. Calling your psychic to find out if the rapture is real or not - I have a pretty dark sense of humor... but I remain sympathetic to those who continue to live in fear and seek a way out.

Unbelievers should probably be welcoming, rather than busy building the walls higher. -sigh-
