Hamas warns "informers"

You are quite right. The charter does not specifically limit the killing of Jews to Israeli Jews.

"The time will not come until Muslims will fight the Jews (and kill them); until the Jews hide behind rocks and trees, which will cry: O Muslim! there is a Jew hiding behind me, come on and kill him!"

Yeah sorry. Mea culpa.

BTW, when am I going to be paid for my irrational and relentless support of Israel? Surely you're on the payroll Wildcat?
not sure if there is a lot of money in it as most of the practitioners do it for free.

can I simply assume you have abandoned any intention to address my questions and prefer to repeat the handwaving?

Can you cite the law that changed that? If not, what's different?
Hmmmm...every law passed since the end of WW!? quite a few to cite...

Hamas rules an undeclared an unrecognized state. Barring international relations, they have the exact same powers as they would in an independent and sovereign state. There is no special law for such cases and no reason not to be able to apply the laws that govern international conflict as it is.

McHrozni
nope... They are not an independant state. They are a mob of stateless arabs allowed limited autonomy by Israel.
Its pretty typical for people to award statehood to palestinians when they are whining about them not living up to the obligations of statehood.....but....if they ask for the advantages of statehood it quickly vanishes again.

how about you make your mind up....if you want to consider them a state then join me in advocating statehood for these stateless people.

wow...a talking tree. Am I supposed to take threats from talking trees seriously?

how come we don't excuse Hamas's actions with "War's a nasty business" ?
I don't know about anybody else, but I certainly do. War is a nasty business. Hamas is at war with Israel. Therefore they do all sorts of nasty things to and against Israel.

By the same token--indeed, whether they like it or not--Israel is at war with Hamas. Now that we're all agreed that the two parties are at war, Israel's nasty behavior towards Hamas (and the civilians under Hamas's care) makes a lot more sense, doesn't it?

And now that we're all agreed that the two parties are at war, it remains only for you to realize which party you wish to win this war, and what you will do to help them win.

I suppose (in the grand Swiss tradition) you could remain neutral, but in that case you may want to consider carefully what you say on the subject of this war, lest your neutrality turn out to be a sham, and your preference for one side or the other become obvious.

lovely prose.

Before anyone sells me a puppy I get to see the puppy.
Before anyone gets my support for winning a war they need to tell me what they think "winning" means.

well if i would be forced to choose one side it would be Israel, but lucky nobody demands me to choose a side, so i support peace.

When i don't excuse a blockade that also if not mainly impacts the civilians, i surely cannot excuse Hamas actions, as they do a lot worse things aimed at civilians.

War isn't a football match.

and what are you doing to help one side?

Hmmmm...every law passed since the end of WW!? quite a few to cite...

A rather pathetic straw man. In good faith: the law that prohibits blockading a hostile belligerent.

Such as?

sorry...I thought it was you that was saying that Israel can blockade gaza because we blockaded germany in ww1?

Just pointing out that a few things have changed since ww1..

such as control of thier own borders...airspace....international law that applies to nation states....

I'm trying to figure out what you mean here. While I agree a talking tree story in the Koran is silly, I don't think anybody cares what your or my opinions are. They care about the opinions of the people who take the Koran seriously.

Having been raised a Christian, having read the Bible and having attended my share of Sunday school and prayer sessions, I'm familiar with a lot of stories in the Bible that involve supernatural events that are just as silly as a talking tree. Everything from talking serpents, talking donkeys, great floods, talking bushes, people dying and being raised from the dead...I could make a very long list. You and I don't have to take any of that seriously to understand that millions of Christians *do* take it very seriously.

Good point.

What do you think "winning" means for Hamas?

I would say its probably the destruction of the state of Israel as a "jewish" state and the establishment of an islamist state (that they would run). But I think I probably have more chance of shagging a supermodel than that ragtag of bigmouths achieving anything like that. I don't think that is the views of "Mr average Palestinian." ..I think they are probably more aligned with what I think the Abbas factions definition of "winning" would be. The Establishment of the Palestinian state on something close to the 1967 borders with east Jerusalem as its capital.

Alright.

What do you think "winning" means for Israel?

Alright.

what part of Israel? Loonie right? Mainstream? What do YOU think...

Personally I think the loonie right wants what they think god promised them and the mainstream want peace and borders something like 1967...

Butchering civilians through terror attacks is ok, I guess.

War's a nasty business after all.

I'd respond to this if it made sense.
Peephole apparently uses the same school of "thought" as Thunder, whereby blowing up civilians in a cafe, or bashing in the head of a toddler after killing his mother in front of him, is the moral equivalent of not having cheese doodles or coriander on store shelves.
