Just sitting through a Welsh government hosted Zoom meeting about Ukrainians coming to Wales.

200+ participants and the Welsh government is being very proactive, unlike Westminster.

Matt Hancock, the former health secretary, failed to notify his officials about private messages he exchanged with disgraced Conservative MP Owen Paterson, a healthcare firm’s paid lobbyist, an official watchdog has disclosed.

In a critical report, the National Audit Office (NAO) concluded that the Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) did not record properly why it awarded contracts worth nearly £500m to the healthcare firm, Randox.

The NAO also reported that Hancock’s then department failed to declare four meetings its ministers held with Randox as it was required to do under transparency rules. No minutes of six meetings between Randox and ministers were kept.

Grant Shapps wringing his hands over P&O law breaking on Radio4.
He should have taken them to the high court already.

Except they want to play both sides against the middle. They want the positive headlines from being hard on P&O and the lax labour laws that their donors demand.

The great aunt of a four-year-old Ukrainian refugee has told of her struggle trying to bring him to the UK.

Inesse Gwynne, who wants to bring Platan to Stockport, said the youngster and his mother Ruslana fled Ukraine after the Russian invasion but have only got as far as Italy.

She said his visa application had been thwarted because his passport had recently expired.

However, the Home Office said children do not need passports to apply.

A spokeswoman said the department was "moving as quickly as possible" to ensure Ukrainians can find safety in the UK.

Sadly the spokesperson probably was telling the truth. And that’s terrible.

When you see your government rallying behind a "war on woke", exactly the same garbage that Putin is currently coming out with, you have to ask who would fall for it?

This pathetic transparent 'culture war' will go down as well as his attempt to link Brexit to Ukrainian bravery

Ant and Dec giving away energy bill discounts as prizes on Saturday night takeaway is pretty depressing.

It will be foodbank vouchers next.

I'm pleasantly surprised -

"The first fines for lockdown breaches in Downing Street are expected to be issued imminently after Scotland Yard concluded that laws were broken at the heart of government, sources have told the Guardian." source

I wonder if the fines will be "blind" as to the status of the person being fined? I'd like to think so.

Johnson assured Parliament the rules were followed at all times. He lied to Parliament. That is a resignation offence.
