War is brutal. Maybe Hamas should have thought of that before starting one. The idea that Israel should not fight back because people might get hurt is retarded.
I also believe that not allowing any food in for three months in 2025, and then having four distribution sites and only about a score of lorries daily for about fivemonths via the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation was utterly inadequate.
Why should Hamas care? They want a lot of radicalised recruits and that is what they got.
My point is that Hamas is not Gaza. Most of the inhabitants of Gaza never even had a chance to vote against Hamas.
It is hard to find a military justification for such destruction of agricultural land unless one is trying to make the area uninhabitable and ethnically cleanse the area. Which members of the Israeli cabinet have advocated without being fired. And which means that Netanyahu is sufficiently happy with it.
It is even more clear in the West Bank.
The Palestinians are caught between the Israeli government, and Hamas. The Israeli government doesn't want them to live in Gaza or the West Bank, and which is very lax when its troops shoot clearly innocent people at short range. Hamas is using the Palestinian people as tools to further their aims, and indeed the worse the IDF and the settlers treat the Palestinians, the better for recruitment and pressure on Israel.
Then you have the biblical extremists from three religions. Two with mutually contradictory Sims and the Christians with eschatological goals that temporarily align with the Jewish extremists.

The difference is that Hamas is not an existential threat to Israel. I'm sure many in Hamas would like it to be.
Also Israel has control on the ground.
And the behaviour of the Israeli government in Gaza is consistent with their behaviour in the West Bank, where the main violence is from Israeli settlers and Hamas is not an issue.
Further to my previous points.
How does that excuse Israeli actions against agricultural land, which or the number of civilians being shot in the head, including infants and young children?

Sure. But support for Hamas, and for their Oct. 7 attack, is very high in Gaza. The difference you want to make is not nearly as clear as you suggest. Furthermore, that's not really Israel's problem. To the extent that the residents of Gaza don't support Hamas, it's on them to do something about it, not Israel. Hamas started a war, Israel has the right to fight back. It's unfortunate that civilians are caught in the crossfire, but that doesn't mean Israel doesn't get to fight back. They do. Hamas deserves to be utterly destroyed. And in the long run, rewarding the use of human shields will not decrease the number of collateral deaths, it will increase it.
It's not hard to justify at all. When combat operations happen on agricultural land, that's going to mess up that land. Drive a tank across a field, that will mess up that field. Israel doesn't have to intend to damage cropland for cropland to get damaged. But Israel isn't responsible for avoiding that damage either, especially when Hamas chooses where to fight.
And your argument is absurd. Gaza isn't being ethnically cleansed. You have assumed that was the intent, but provided no evidence. And if that was the intent, we can see already that it utterly failed. Which should suggest to you (but for some reason didn't) that maybe that wasn't the intent.
Perhaps they should get rid of Hamas. That would solve a lot of their problems.

What actions, exactly? Your source provides no information about what exactly caused the observed damage, or who did it. Hell, it doesn't even demonstrate that everything they measure even is damage. If someone stops planting a field, satellites are going to pick up that there are no plants growing, and that may register as damage, but nothing actually happened to the field.

Can you give another example where there are active hostilities between two belligerents, and one of the belligerents provides food and aid to the civilian population of the other?

May I humbly suggest you take a look at the folk you are arguing with? Just, sometimes it's better to realize that some people will rationalize slaughter no matter what. Why? Because they can't blame those wars on the Jews, so there is nothing to gain politically from protesting.
And the people who support the pro-Palestinian movements are either anti-Semites, or useful idiots- too ill-informed to know what is really going on in Gaza, and too stupid to do the research. They uncritically believe anything Hamas says, because their pro-Palestinian echo-chamber tells them that is what they must do.
