If I had enclosed the word in quotes would that have worked?
I doubt that lionking would have leaped for that bait, but I think we have all been trapped by making poker faced comments meant as sarcastic and been taken literally.

I do not think Gable Tostee is a hero, ok.

Yes I am really surprised.
I consider myself internally consistent, I am only interested in cases where the system has it totally wrong, and so far I have no regrets.
Tostee and Pistorius are tragic figures, their dead paramours footnotes to history, that's how the tapestry is woven.

There is endemic failure in the international way of solving crime.

I explained clearly I was being sarcastic. I didn't expect to have to, and I am amazed it could wind up so quickly.
Who would believe anyone thinks he's a hero. I bet he doesn't himself.
But I think there is a lot of that sort of behaviour going on that of course doesn't end in tragedy so is never heard about.
I think the case is hardly worth discussing further unless more court action follows. There are truly innocent people stuck in jails everywhere that need attention and help.

Certainly - I'm not blaming him for taking the money.

The media company should perhaps look at donating the same amount as his fee to a suitable charity.

After all, the chick dying was the story - why should he get all the money?
