As a business model Fox has a tough job. Their targeted audience doesn't want objective news, they want a narrative. They want the 'news' to adhere to what they, the viewers, want to believe.

So it wasn't Fox news... it was just a whole bunch of people that Fox news has hired/pays their salary, and who appear on their TV shows (which of course brought in ad revenue into Fox).

Sadly I have a very intelligent friend who, whilst reluctantly admitting that Jones was 'probably wrong' about the Sandy Hook massacre ('though there were still some dodgy things about it') goes on to say, that he's been right about a lot of things and you can't believe mainstream media because they feed you lies.

David Icke has been right about a lot of things, too. He doesn't like the smell of cat pee, he understands the need to wear clothes in public, and his keys were under the newspaper on the kitchen counter that one time.

I think it's the seduction of 'I'm too intelligent to be fooled like you lot / I'm so clever I've seen through it all' mixed with a mistaken treatment of all sources as somehow equal in their bias.

I've come to the conclusion that that's the fundamental basis for conspiracy theory thinking. They're gnostic cults that tell people they know a big secret that everyone else is too dim and complacent to discern. That's why they usually see arguments against their pet theories as personal attacks.

He had similar views about Trump (I was flabbergasted) - 'At least he's a free thinker not one of those crooked politicians'. Hilary C was the most corrupt person imaginable apparently whilst Trump (a millionaire business man) was somehow not part of / not tainted by "The Establishment".

People who think like that remind me of people who send checks for hundreds of dollars to televangelists who are clearly sleazy, money-grubbing charlatans. In fact, I'm sure there's a lot of overlap between the two communities.

Once again, I'm pretty certain that's not really the orange man-baby writing. I would barely recognise that text as his own written work it's been so "corrected" by a more competent writer. The subject and intent is his, sure, but not the text.

It is actually good to see that he is still on about the 2020 election, even to the point of dragging in the "2000 Mules" nonsense. Because it's a losing strategy with everyone but a tiny core of mindless minions.
