Not to defend the Christchurch terrorist, but he's not a special case of right wing moron. He's fairly representative of a lot of the extreme right. He was part of the forum that coined the ok-"hoax". The only thing that makes him different is that he's acted on his beliefs. Not all of them have. Yet.
Actually I disagree that he was fairly representative of them. Most Far Right WS want to be part of a group and so are joiners in those type of groups. The Chch shooter wasn't, he seems to have been much more of loner in a similar style to Anders Breivik. Neither seem to have belonged to an official far right wing group, rather working alone with only nebulous connections via the internet to others. So no, I don't believe that he is representative of them.
Also, the libs aren't upset because the right wingers flash the ok sign. They are upset because people like you keep telling them to ignore it.
Because ignoring it is the right thing to do. It's not those that are flashing the Ok gesture that are making it a racist symbol, it's those on the left that are declaring it do. That is exactly what those doing it want, you are actually acting in the exact way they want you too. That means that they win because you look stupid. If you ignore them then they don't get their way and they stop doing it because it becomes pointless.
