No. He was the predecessor. Epstein died on his watch (hmmm...) Maxwell was sentenced during Biden's term, and investigations were ongoing at the time. Even if they could have legally released anything, there was no huge demand from the Biden base to release info, be it from JFK, UFOs or whatever...the CT screaming was all from MAGA. I didn't single out Trump--he singled himself out as the great releaser of all info on the sordid deep state and Qanon sex cabals...can't imagine what he is so reluctant to follow through on his promises ROFL

She was obviously well educated and smart too--so that might have been a bigger draw for Epstein than the sex, since he obviously wasn't wanting for that...

ETA: How are you so confident there's no Biden anywhere in the unreleased Epstein files? Have you seen the files? Can you explain why the Biden administration didn't publish the list of names, if Biden himself wasn't implicated?

If it's telling that the Trump admin has done nothing, it must be equally telling that the Clinton and Obama and Biden admins did nothing.

First, Epstein's first criminal case began in 2005 in Florida. Bush was President, and it began as a Florida case, but the FBI was asked by local law enforcement to join the investigation. Epstein was arrested in July, 2006. In spite of multiple victims the local grand jury returned only one charge of felony solicitation. His high-priced defense team was a who's who of top-drawer lawyers. They got him a light sentence.

Obviously this is a huge shock. Some rich person skating on charges brought by a Florida DA who's a chicken-◊◊◊◊.

But the FBI had found enough evidence to keep working.

Meanwhile, Epstein pled guilty in 2008, and "served" 19 months so to speak. He could come and go from prison at will.

So all of this happened during the Bush administration. Obama was never in the picture. The FBI built a solid case, and Epstein was arrested in New Jersey in 2019, during the first Trump administration. The rest is history.

Two things to keep in mind; Trump and his sycophants rant on releasing the Epstein files. Bondi made a big show out of how "the files were on her desk", and Patel had been banging on the file release all during the Biden administration. This is all their doing. The fed the MAGA and QAnon cattle a line of BS, and now they're screwed. The other - more important aspect of this case that nobody has brought up - is how difficult it is to prosecute sex crimes on any scale. Even if you take out the possible political connections surrounding this case, you still have a number of factors making prosecution and conviction a challenge. The DA and local police in Florida got cold feet in a case where a regular citizen would have been run into prison for a decade. Sex cases are labor intensive on the investigative end, and not for the squeamish. I've lost count of how many sexual predators receive relatively light sentences, not because of lack of evidence, but because the laws have not been updated. Many sex crime laws were written in the mid-20th century in a time when the thinking was "Boys will be boys", and thus the penalties do not fit the crimes.

Throw in the resources Epstein had and prosecution was always going to be an uphill battle.

As far as Biden goes, his AG Merrick Garland will go down as the biggest gutless coward in the history of that post. And thanks to Trump, the FBI has been gutted, and that decades-long investigation will be buried.
 
plus trump was best friends with the guy and his name is all over the documents. and he told the press there’s no list and to stop asking and released an altered tape from the prison camera

well guess it turns out there’s a lot of reasons to single him out.

Though, really, it's far too good to be true but it would be amazing if this was Trump's Watergate and it turned out some true believer had indeed killed Epstein thinking they were protecting the Dear Leader. When you see the jaw-dropping sycophancy and ass-kissing of his cult you have to wonder what proportion would literally kill for him as the ultimate test of loyalty.

Epstein never created a “client list.” The FBI interviewed alleged victims who named several “clients.” These names have been redacted. They should be disclosed but the courts have ordered them sealed. I know who they are. They don’t include any current officeholders. We don’t know whether the accusations are true. The courts have also sealed negative information about some of the accusers to protect them. Neither the Justice Department nor private defense lawyers are free to disregard court sealing orders. The media can and should petition the courts for the release of all names and information so the public can draw its own conclusions.

He also throws cold water on the notion that Epstein was Mossad (if true, Dershowitz says he could have used the information to get a better deal).

Of course at this point the existence or non-existence of a client list is sort of irrelevant. The QAnon crazies are convinced there is one, and that is what matters.
 
of course, Dershowitz himself is on the list, as there is testimony of him accepting the services Epstein provided.
Him making that claim makes it all more likely that the list exists.

The fact that so many rich and powerful people paid millions to Epstein with seemingly nothing in return makes it seem rather foolish of anyone to belief that Epstein didn't keep records of who his "guests" were and what they did - blackmailers need evidence for their trade.

And the "Mossad" question, oddly enough, is never extended to Ghislaine, who's father was Mossad. It is unlikely that on his own or through her Epstein never every had any contact with Israeli Intelligence.

At the risk of being accused of a "fringe reset" what is the best evidence to convince a good faith agnostic skeptic that there are actually files which include a list of clients who went to Epstein & co. for nefarious purposes? (Not talking about money management, however shady.)

Not being Socratic here; I've assiduously avoided this topic until it became unavoidable in my podcast feeds.
