Because what they're doing is capitalizing on a current bit of hubbub as right-wingers seek to find some rationalization to pretend that they're on the side of good. To poke at a couple more quotes from the same place as that last one -

The U.S. Supreme Court ordered the Trump administration early Saturday to halt the deportations of at least 30 alleged Venezuelan gang members under the Alien Enemies Act.
“The Government is directed not to remove any member of the putative class of detainees from the United States until further order of this Court,” the order reads.


Two justices, Clarence Thomas and Samuel A. Alito Jr., dissented.
The Trump administration was preparing to deport the Venezuelan men, immigration advocates said Friday as they scrambled to find a federal court they could persuade to step in and block the removals before it was too late.

Of course this corrupt administration and its Ringleader King will just ignore this ruling.

Call me crazy but if you got two hearings and a valid deportation order then you shouldn’t be in the United States.
 
The "MS13" has clearly been added to the image. Are they saying the symbols underneath the characters stand for those characters, or are they really trying to convince people with a sloppy photoshop job?

From what I've read, the 'M' is for the marijuana tattoo, S is the smile, 'I' is the cross, and the skull covers up a 3 (hidden below the curves of the skull tattoo). You would think that it would not be hard to find an expert on the gang to verify those are gang related tattoos, but apparently they must be in short supply.
Doesn't excuse the total disregard of due process but coupled with the fact that a rival gang wants to kill him there is some incriminating evidence...

Is that your personal knowledge as an expert or is that what you read in internet sources? The sources I've found seem to back that general idea up, but unless some expert (like in front of s judge, like due process) says that *all* gang members have MS-13 blatantly tattooed on their bodies, then it doesn't mean much to me. Id rather get Garcia in front of a judge or court (again, that pesky due process thing) and ask him directly what the symbols mean to him. If he is being deported as a member of a terrorist organization, it doesn't matter if he has been charged with a crime or convicted of a crime--it's a determination of his gang affiliation.

<U.S. citizen in Arizona detained by immigration officials for 10 days

Immigration officials in Tucson arrested the 19-year-old man from Albuquerque on April 8, saying he had entered the country illegally, before a judge dismissed his case on April 17.

Court documents say a Border Patrol agent arrested Hermosillo “at or near Nogales, Arizona, without proper immigration documents” and that Hermosillo admitted to illegally entering the U.S.

ICE did not respond to a request for comment about the wrongful detention.

 
The middle of the night decision did not get Thomas' brain quite working. He is a lawyer after all. His dissent was on the side of the government and some odd words about "preventing due process." He forgot that the phrase due process refers to citizens, not Thomas in in his pyjamas. The citizens are entitled to it. You have to bring the poor devil in front of a judge, who may be quite the same as Thomas himself and would decide immediately that the human can be sent to "wherever" the president decides.

This foreign jail needs to be sorted out, though. The law allows deportation. But there is lots of confusion there too, since the human beings are not exactly treated by any standard treatment once they are out of the country. You could put them in a row boat and haul them out of US waters.
