Dog consumption

I do take medication for OCD, ODD, anxiety, Depression, Aspergers. Got a problem with that?
Certain posters on this forum seem to imply that suffering from mental illnesses somehow makes you less of a debater, as if it were the person, not the arguments, that mattered. Why this should be is unclear.

Ok, is that the problem I am doing? I get it now. Before, though, I was never told that selecting one quote and replying was wrong
In post 535 you quoted my last sentence out of context and without attribution.

If you had hit reply, and then just deleted the text you don't want, the quote would still have my username and a post number so that one could easily click back to see the post where it appeared. (See the little red arrow above next to your username? See what happens when you click on it?)

At the very least, you should have added in the attribution by making the text inside the brackets say: QUOTE=JoeTheJuggler

Actually, no. If you'd read my post, I was pointing out that your thinking is so muddled that your self-contradiction (where you now claim to take a "live and let live" attitude) is NOT evidence that you've just taken your meds. Others thought you were suddenly making sense as if you'd just taken some sort of medication to think more clearly.

At any rate, it's all irrelevant to the topic and does nothing to advance any actual argument. In fact, I think all those remarks (including mine) were meant facetiously.

I actually would not have said it if I'd known you actually take psych meds. That's sort of like making a "your mother" insult and then learning that the guy's mother is dead. (Credit: George Carlin.)

I agree, we shouldn't have "gone there". The thread has just become so absurd that it didn't seem it could become any sillier making silly jokes.

Again, if I'd known Makaya actually takes meds, I wouldn't have "gone there".

My apologies, Makaya.

Apparently only in cases of starvation and the people doing the ritual slaughter have to be smiling.

I can't help but feel the smiling is wrong. If it ever came to the point I had to kill someone and eat them to survive, I'd like to think I'd be quite upset about it, not grinning. "I'm gonna eat you, lol:D" *stab*

I didn't intend to imply that. I did intend to imply that the consumption of alcohol makes a person less of a debater, however.

I apologize for "going there", at all, though, and to Mak if it appeared to him that I was being derogatory towards mental illness.

What if.... it tasted funny? :boxedin:

And you know that he does take meds... exactly how? Oh I see... He told you so. It must be true then! ;)

Mak... You know the story of the boy who cried wolf too many times, don't you?

A bloke was marooned once with his dog, Bruce, on an island up in the Gulf of Carpentaria.

He did his best for three weeks, catching a few odds and ends, finding a few oysters and the odd coconut, but in the end, his survival instinct is shouting the obvious truth at him.

So he builds up his campfire, and when the coals are just about right, he does the dog in, quick and clean, with a blow to the head. No suffering, although the bloke had a few sniffles as he was preparing his meal.

Two hours later, it's all over. He sits there on the beach, full as a goog, and looks sadly down at last remains of his faithful companion and temporay salvation.

"Geez, that's a bloody shame. Bruce woulda loved those bones."
