You're missing out on the true revelation by not connecting all the dots.
I mentioned earlier that there are two separate flood narratives in the Torah: the story of Noah's flood, and the story of Moses hidden in the rushes as an infant. But there is a third: the story of how "Pharaoh's" pursuing chariots were destroyed by the water after the parting of the Red Sea.
Does that sound similar to any other story you've read, about how a mighty military threat was rendered harmless by the hostile land being submerged under water by the power of a god?
The realization of this similarity makes the truth obvious: the Israelites were not enslaved in Egypt at all. They were enslaved in Atlantis! That explains why there's no record in Egypt of an army being drowned while pursuing escaping slaves, or of ten plagues ravaging the land. The Israelites had just enough time to escape the sinking, and naturally the sinking thwarted any pursuit. So the story was slightly mis-remembered; the sinking being delayed just long enough became YHWH "parting" or "holding back" the water to allow an escape, and the sinking itself became YHWH releasing the water to drown the pursuit.
Now, just imagine that this is happening, and the Israelites, safe on the "far shore of the Red Sea" (actually, wherever they reached the mainland coast) see from miles away the capital of their former captors, complete with its concentric rings and central canal, turning vertical like a coin turned on edge, half of it sinking below the water and the other half rising high into the air, like the Titanic did as it sank. The visible upper half would have formed the perfect shape of an upside down menorah, a sign that the survivors would surely remember and pass on.
The story is now consistent with everything in the Torah, everything Plato wrote about Atlantis, and everything in Cameron's all-important documentary. Except, in each case, for the parts they got wrong.
