i agree 100% and the above effect is courtesy of jermay..it employs a technique known as 'dual reality' or 'loose patter', also the pick up artist effect with the 3 'beautiful' women please use use your imagination to how this can be accomplished as if you think logically the effect is one of the most simple any mentalist can achieve.. the paying with paper all you have to do is watch the start of his shows with the people in the phone boxes or the trick or treat episode with the pianist to figure just how easily a cue can be employed (wrap it up with some clever patter that suggests he is using linguistics to us the viewer and you have the makings of a miracle) watch him flips the coin into the bowl to get all the heads (it takes hours of multiple takes) (isnt this a way of admiting to us he has not only the time but the resources to film multiple participants) i guess you would call that a possibility

Derren Brown's show is obviously dressed up for television, but I doubt he uses camera tricks and stooges as much as some have suggested. And sometimes, his "explanations" are part of the misdirection. I have a video of a young DB doing a lecture where he really shows off some impressive mentalism on a tiny stage. He does a routine called Reminiscence that is absolutely amazing whether you know the method or not.
It's not like that video proves he doesn't "cheat," I'm just saying he's good enough to not have to.
