Split Thread DEI in the US

There you go again, completely out of touch with reality.

It's not that they're not interested in fresh food, it's that fresh food is not available where they live.
If there was a market it for it, i.e., consumer demand, it would be there. That's how markets work. But no store is going to stock an item people don't buy. Do you really think if someone opened a store in these areas that exclusively sold health food it would survive?

Trausti is also imagining that every household is like the ones depicted in the 1950s TV shows he wishes the US were like: Mom is a stay at home mom who gets up well before the rest of the household in order to cook a wholesome and healthy breakfast for her entire family. She gets up so early that her hair and makeup are already done as she is pouring orange juice and yelling at Suzy to get up or she'll be late for class. Dad is sitting at the table with a pipe in his mouth reading the paper, before heading off to the office.

Obviously, if a single working parent does not get up in time to cook a healthy meal for their children before going to work themselves, it's because they have bad parenting skills, are lazy, or are incompetent. Why, Trausti saw this happening in every TV family he grew up watching, so it must of course be reality.

A friend of mine runs a chicken shop (takeaway food shop) which also stocks a few sundries...

He's in a constant fight with his partner, over the purchase of fresh milk products.

The problem, in a nutshell, is that fresh milk products have a short shelf life, and are quite expensive.

The losses caused by milk products having to be thrown away are so significant, they threaten, and often overwhelm the razor-thin profits made by the entire store.

I imagine this would be a problem faced by any small 'bodega' style store.

Fresh fruit and vegetables, would probably have a high initial cost, low potential profit, and a relatively short shelf-life.

I suspect that they'd also take up a significant percentage of shelf-space, and potentially would not realise sufficient profit for the 'real-estate' that they consume in store, compared to high-profit items like alcohol and cigarettes.

Note that most small store owners do not own the real-estate and are literally paying rent for every piece of shelf-space.

"Richly prepared for" and "earned".

And once again we see that diversity of skin color >>>>>>>>>> diversity of viewpoint.
As we have seen in this very thread, certain people think that black pilots who have passed all qualifications to be a pilot, i.e. richly prepared for and earned, are in fact not qualified to be pilots and are only DEI hires.

Just amazes me how the left just assumes that certain groups lack agency.

You do understand that law and civilisation is denying human nature. What you are arguing is rape is OK? It is definitely part of male nature. That if you can get away with it taking what you want is OK.
Rape is completely natural and is found throughout nature. Lots of species do it.

The defining feature of humans is that civilisation frees us from the tyranny of nature.

Woah, you're really reaching there. I explained in the previous post what I mean. Simply put, I think it best to formulate policy that recognizes human nature rather than denies it.
