David Bernard killed by a “bomb” in front of WTC 7 on 9/11

This was a direct quote from his wife in the documentary. I recorded the documentary and made notes. These are the actual words she said.

Bernard told his wife he experienced an explosion, what he thought must have been a bomb, not flying debris from WTC 1 or 2 or parts of an aircraft flying thru the air, but an explosion, a bomb.

I agree with Mr. Bernard it was an explosion outside WTC 7 on Vesey Street, but I do not think it was a bomb.

I have no possibility, to see the documentary. I would be interesting for me, if you post your notes. Did he really exclude flying debris as the source for the explosion.

I'm curious, do you think that Bernard was the only one on the sidewalk near the WTC during rush hour on 9/11? Because Bernard couldn't even speak most days until he died, but I'm sure there were dozens of people around him at the time who aren't running around claiming they think a bomb went off.

In fact, the only people who claim there were bombs/missiles/space beams/mini-nukes/thermite/thermate/keebler elves etc etc at the WTC on 9/11 are people who weren't there. Funny that!

Actually I have posted it before. What I find most interesting about it is that even when people know what they are seeing they still say it sounded like a bomb.

You know, this makes me wonder...how many people, do you suppose, who say things like "it sounded like a bomb" (whether referring to 9/11 or any other explosion they witness) have actually heard a real live bomb go off? (Movies don't count.)

In other words, do the people who say "it sounded like a bomb" generally have an accurate reference to base the statement on? I wouldn't think so, but I really don't know...I've never heard a real bomb go off.

I’m not sure I’m with you. It appears to me the original poster is saying something along the lines of the following: he said it was a bomb; thus it must have been a bomb; except it wasn’t a bomb; it was a missile.

Yes- that's the original poster.
MaGZ is however trying to follow his usual train of thought and the thread needn't be derailed when he has a thread for the missiles theory already.

When the Buncefield oil depot exploded in 2005WP there were reports of "bombs"

Norrie Vine, a 71-year-old taxi driver, was thrown from a chair in his flat in in Wood Close, near Wood Lane End, Hemel Hempstead, when the blast happened.
He said he initially thought it was bomb going off.
"At first I thought it was an al-Qaida thing, I have lived around the world and I know what explosions sound like," said Mr Vine

Because of weather conditions that morning, the explosions were heard as much as 100 miles away (I was woken from a deep sleep but then I was a mere 10 miles away).

This event was far larger than any explosions reported at the WTC but does demonstrate that:

fuel tanks + fire = reports of "bombs"

Missile thread is in the usual place - this thread is about whether an explosion was a bomb.

Sorry to laugh, but it just strikes me at times that this is where the Troof cult has arrived as of 2008.

There was just this one statement by his wife in the film,
"He thought it was a bomb and was hit with debris."

Sounds pretty clear and thorough. The fact that he clearly stated that he thought it "must have been" a bomb, then specifically excluded the possibilities of aircraft or building debris, seems to support your theory. Did you really hear his wife claiming that he had said all this, or did you just make it all up so your theory would sound more plausible?

There was just this one statement by his wife in the film,
"He thought it was a bomb and was hit with debris."

That would be option (b), then.

Has she joined the truth movement?

If not, don't you think it's highly likely you're misinterpreting her statement?

Why are we nitpicking an offhand statement, emphasis on "offhand"? If I had been in the towers at the time and not seen the planes come in, I'd have thought there was a bomb too. Right up until the moment I get told that a plane hit.

There's no "there" there. There just isn't any substance to debating a person's offhand impression of events and the objective reality supported by myriad pieces of evidence.
