Absolutely. I think it was mentioned earlier in the thread as a possibility.
Which would mean CNN didn't dox the wrong guy. They didn't dox the right guy.

he said he did not make the video Trump tweeted, but rather claimed someone took his gif and added sound to it, which is silly but that is what he said.

Why would that really matter, though, if the gif came first? The original concept (Trump heroically body-slamming CNN) traces back to HanA**holeSolo, yeah?Sure. Now all you need to do is show that he was indeed the source of the video, not just the GIF.

I don't really tho. CNN seems to have traced it back to Hanwhatever, and that guy took credit for it.
That's good enough for me.

Not for me. I won't take his word for it, since he also admitted to being a troll, and without access to the original video we can't say that he was the source. If he's the source, where's the video? How did Trump get his hands on it?
It's not enough that the conclusion fit our biases.
He admitted to being a troll, then apologized and took the crap he had made down. Which is also why the video isn't there anymore.
So why is there also a GIF, then?
Uhmm... why wouldn't there be?
Altho reading what the man himself says above, he was the originator of the gif, and someone turned it into a movie. Accept it or don't.
I'm just wondering... if the original was a video he posted, and he took it down, why is there another file, a GIF, which we can still see?
Just like the biblical flood! Accept it or don't. Except that a global flood is impossible, and I've discussed at length why it's extremly unlikely that a GIF was made into a video. To summarize:
1) The GIF contains less data than the video (fewer colours, lower resolution, fewer FPS, less content, no sound)
2) Although it's technically possible to turn the GIF into a video by adding more content from elsewhere, sound, and splice video content between the GIF frames so as to make it more fluid, only an insane idiot would do that rather than just extract the video from a recording of the show.
I conclude that the GIF is not the original but a copy of the original video, which raises the question of where the original is and, if Han made it, why did he take it down but not the GIF?
I think those are valid questions if we're to determine whether his confession and CNN's claims are accurate.

lolz! I enjoyed that post! Kisses fingers in the French style!
Take a completely irrelevant historical fact and couple it with something you just made up (i.e. that I am "pretending" to be "butthurt") and then thank me for that thing you just cobbled together! Fantastic!
"The GIF has been around since 1987, and TBD is all butt hurt about a GIF. Thanks much. That makes perfect sense."
Fantastic!
So go ask him if it interests you. I'm perfectly satisfied knowing that someone made something foul, the POTUS tweeted it out to his drooling followers, CNN dug around and found someone claiming to have originated the foulness.
Done and dusted.
