Chemtrail crankery

This is a video containing excerpts of a debate apparently held by by the Shashta county council about the effects of chemtrails. As it contains only excerpts of a discussion which took much more time it is difficult to figure all what might have discussed during this session, but it appears that the council took some resolutions as a conclusion of the whole discussion:

As a matter of facts I am not American and even less Californian. However if I would be a resident and tax payer of Shasta county I think I would raise a question to the county authorities: why did they waste so much time (and probably tax payers money too) on a non-issue?

Without diving into verifying where the footage came from, cities and counties hold "open mic" times at the beginning or end of council meetings, for randoms to voice their random concerns. The woman on camera behind the randoms is probably playing window solitaire and waiting for the numbats to finish so they can either get on with the meeting or finish it and go home.

It's perfectly acceptable for the government entity to hold hours where citizens may voice random concerns. It is the responsibility of citizens to ensure they are not wasting everyone's time with pseudoscientific horse feathers.

I'm a Californian.

Shasta County is largely a conservative community that is a mix of old hippies, and retirees from the San Francisco Bay Area, and Sacramento making up a big chunk of the population. Shasta is a nice place to live, and affordable for California. Shasta began to attract strange people in the 1960s, the evidence being the rise in Bigfoot sighting, UFO encounters, and reports of an underground race of beings living inside Mt. Shasta. Since Shasta County is insulated, the weirdness is allowed to creep into areas of normal life.

This insulation breeds paranoia.

Prescription drug abuse is common:

The main abusers are men over 50 years of age. These medications impair judgement and can cause paranoia. Couple this with Coast to Coast AM late night Woo radio and you have a recipe for this insanity.

Drugs are behind the most dramatic claims of Woo. Back in my UFO days, I'd listen to people tell amazing abduction and black helicopter stories, and do so with a straight face. They weren't making these stories up, they happened in their heads thanks to Crystal Meth, but because these were white, middle-class Americans nobody suspected they were addicts.

I feel sorry for the people in the video more than anything else. I'd love to live up in Shasta. I'd have a fishing pole, and a good pair of hiking boots.

I hear you and agree completely plus I live just a hour north of Shasta and went thru the 60's seeing friends doing just what you are saying.

I must admit I saw something that made me wonder about chemtrails the other day.

When walking the dog I saw three contrails in the air making a triangle with the edges dissolving just outside the corners, framing the moon.

Now I know that everyone claims that the Great Horned Rat is just a fictional character from the Warhammer franchise, but maybe that is what THEY want you to believe while openly inscribing his symbol in the sky.

What did the dog think about it?

Fool! Now they will start to think-think!

I must tell-tell the Council.....They will reward me, yes they will, their loyal servant...

This long time informed aircraft observer knows when tail numbers are visible or absent.

Zooming?

Did I say I had a camera in my hand while standing at kitchen sink doing dishes when two tankers suddenly emerged from BELOW the nearby ridgetop?

It happened as I said. No need to fly off handle.

I find you remarks insulting and abusive....reported.

Probably dousing a fire. They use jumbo jets for this all the time.

Case closed. Maybe they were practicing (if you didn't see smoke). These are two solid explanations, with evidence provided.
