I've also seen them on the wingtips. You shouldn't take Bubba seriously, though - think of it more as performance art in the same vein as posters such as Anders Lindman and our dragonfly-loving member...
 
I've seen them on the wingtips as well.

I had to explain to my Mum the other week that the Chemtrails theory is an internet hoax.

Well he has gotten much better at trying to say something that sounds like a claim but in such a way that he doesn't have to defend it so he doesn't get trashed like he use to be.

Still evidence challenged as always.
 
There are many silly conspiracy theories, chemtrails is up there with the worst of them.

Why would a secret cabal of people spray the atmosphere they themselves have to breathe with chemical poisons ?
They wouldn't.

It's actually part of the global Paranormal Catastrophe Prevention programme; after the outbreaks of infectious zombieism in the 1960s it was realised that they represented a real danger to human civilisation. Hence the UN programme to develop remediation measures. In the USA this is Project Indigo Zephyr, a joint CDC/FEMA effort, in conjunction with US Army (who developed the various biochemical agents). It's run (since 1979) by FEMA with the CDC maintaining arms-length involvement.

The sprayed agents are mainly anti-necrokinetics, themselves derived from the psi/anti-psi drug programmes, that reduce the risk of zombie resurrection. In some areas where there is deemed to be a high risk AZV (attenuated live zombie virus) is used though this cocktail of para-viral toxins (developed from mutant undead cockroaches) is controversial even within the PCP community.
Together the agents reduce the expansion rate of an outbreak of zombieism by >75% and even provide a limited amount of protection to humans who are bitten. Of course there are certain side-effects; mental illnesses pertaining to death (the co-called 'psychonecrotic' class of disorders) such as the impulse to disinter graves, consume human flesh et cetera.

Of course most of the ant-zombie biochemical warfare is more selective than general spraying; garden sprinklers in graveyards, for example, have been universally doped with such agents for nearly fifty years.
The spraying programme was expanded in the 1980s after the 'redneck zombie' incidents; the government feared that in the rural heartland of the United States an outbreak of zombieism could spread without notice of the authorities, presenting a major challenge to eradicate, especially without violating the masquerade. Hence the acceleration of the general aerial programme in 1987 and it's further expansion under the Clinton administration.
