Regardless of what they are called, they are typical of Bezmenov's useful idiots, to be discarded in the final phase. He said thousands of useful idiots were killed in one night in their beds, during final phase of communist takeover in Vietnam. He added the CIA were mystified at how the reds knew were all the victims slept. He said same happened to Czechs.

After the useful idiot realize they were used, they become a threat because they naturally oppose the new regime which they were told would be nice, but is anything but.

Stalin etc solved that problem in similar fashion.

Depends on who you are referring to. If you mean people who are willing to throw down with neo-nazis on the street, who stay in Twitter contact with other like-minded Nazi haters, then that's antifa.

I just realized what the whole Antifa business reminds me of. After the Columbine shooting, 20/20 did a story in which it was claimed that the shooters were part of a nationwide white suburban gang with a history of violent murder - the "Gothic Movement". It was seriously claimed that Goths were a single unified group full of deranged killers.
Widely scattered unconnected groups that share some similar attitudes being portrayed as a monolithic boogeyman.

Indeed, I'm fairly well acquainted with the organized BLM protest movement in Salt Lake City, and they didn't buy into him for a second. His m.o. seems to be precisely to pretend to be on the political left, but then do violent and offensive things in the name of that in order to incite police action.
 
As to the thread title, no it wasn't. The insurrection was orchestrated by a rag-tag group of alt-right dirtbags,, CTers, Q-nuts, sov-cit scum, and christian nationalists. They were possible aided and abetted by a few treasonous representatives and some crooked cops*. This is what all the evidence indicates and those who attempt to claim otherwise are like Donald Trump's Depends: full of ****.

The possibility there might have been other bad actors is so minor a factor, it is to be dismissed as unimportant.

I'll be blunt: There is no difference between what the Trumpists are doing and what Antifa are doing, and there is no difference between some Antifa activist and you.
