Listening to another member of the British public on 5 live, the factual inaccuracies were frightening:
- We import 10 times as much from the EU as we export to the EU
- There will be no tariff barriers in our dealings with the rest of the world

A manufactured "problem" that doesn't really exist except in the fevered minds of tabloid "journalist" doing the divide and conquer of Murdoch's desires for him, and the decades of politicians sucking up to them, legitimising their bs, has led to the coming recession for several more years at least, and the global futures of our young people dragged into ****.

Yes. Agreed totally. I suspect there will be thousands of Brits who voted to leave waking up and saying "what the **** did I do?".
By the way I just saw some of the criminally dishonest adverts of lines of Syrian refugees used by the Leave side. People who would never be allowed into the UK.

Politicians in Northern Ireland are now talking about having a poll of NI citizens about having a united Ireland. So this may result in England and Wales all alone in the grip of right wing ideologues, unless the mass of English middle class wake up… I've already heard Labour being blamed for this tory **** up!

Since 2008 there have been a number of "stress tests" carried out on European banks to see whether they can weather some international choppy waters. I guess we get to see whether those stress tests - where most banks have passed - are actually any use...

I think this means Bojo will be PM in the short term. I wonder how the residency of EU citizens will work. Presumably current residents will have a choice to stay in the UK but what about those in limbo?
As a mildly pro-EU person, it's a surprise to see this, but I am sure the UK will ride out the storm.

I thought public opinion on Northern Ireland was massively against Irish unity. The margin in favour of leave in the Brexit referendum seems very unlikely to be correlated with it
Until the North see the continued benefit the Republic gets from EU membership.....

Ireland is a lot more economically linked to the UK than the EU. Taking over the north is not at all likely to help things.
It's hardly taking over the north, it's the north looking to the future.
