Brexit: the referendum

Who will direct the negotiating team?

Can't be Cameron, Osborne or Hammond. Theresa Villiers? Gove? Right now I really can't work out how it will work. Has anyone mentioned an emergency Cabinet meeting yet?

I've heard everything from Scotland doing another ref' and rejoining the EU, to Northern Ireland joining with Ireland to get back in.

Think it is take a chill pill and wait a few months first time

Yeah that's been floated quite a few times over the last few months, the irony - given the reason why they say it should happen - always makes me smile.

Just heard one of the Great British PublicTM interviewed.

He made his choice to vote Leave because "12 million Turks will be arriving soon - don't know whether that's true or not" and because "trade will stay the same - won't it ?"

Oh, well I'm glad I went with my gut and sold a lot of my UK shares and put the money into America a few weeks ago

Singapore news just showed people queuing to buy sterling, so hopefully if that spreads we'll have a bounce.

ETA: Standard and Poors say they'll downgrade UK from AAA status...
Pushing it to believe a down grade will happen till every body settles the **** down

David Cameron has resigned - he will continue as PM for 3 months only, but will not be negotiating the BREXIT.

My mood* this morning: Close the Chunnel; mine the Channel. Were there a butt to swiftly and savagely kick to instantly finalize the exit process, as the EU I'd be taking a running start for a massive and vicious swing.

All my prior attempts at posting were far worse, so there's that.

*Not to be confused with actual policy.

Is there any silver lining to this clusterfudge? Anyone?
Yep, watching you lot weeping and crying like spoilt children. It's beautiful.

Things will settle down over the next few months. In the meantime I shall continue to observe with glee. What a great day. Toodle-pip!

The sharp dip in the value of the pound makes our exports briefly more competitive.

Of course we are a net importer so the the inflationary effects of the increased price of imports will more than offset that but if we're only considering good news then there's one piece.

Yes, it's fantastic gloating about the misfortune of Brits. Trillions wiped off stock markets. Wonderful. Toole-pip.

Sorry, have I offended you somehow?
