Apparently her name is very hard to spell:

A White House schedule sent to journalists ahead of a press conference with US President Donald Trump and Prime Minister Theresa May has misspelled her name.

The schedule referred to the prime minister three times as "Teresa May", leaving out the "h" in her first name.

On one level it's not *that* important but if you have a "special relationship" then they shouldn't be quite so slapdash and careless.

Teresa May is in fact a British porn actress. is it possible that Trump did some inept googling and got the wrong one as well, hence his eagerness to meet her? With any other president this would just be a joke on my part, but with Trump...

The White House is sloppy on others too - managed to call the Aussie Foreign Minister "Prime Foreign Minister" in the press release.

And this from yesterday's meeting

Maybe she gave him tips on controlling immigration from her previous job, if he starts blaming the great labour recession it's a sign.

Manufacturing job losses are due to the previous very bad trade negotiators - from the press conference with May.

Trump already knows how to pin the blame on others.

Maybe he has thought that mispelling her name and write Teresa May would make it easier to "grab her by the pussy"... :D

Really? I've dealt with OSHA (in the US) a few times concerning Laser safety and never found them to be a problem. They just E-mailed me a form and said to include it with the "gear certification" material and that they didn't even need a copy for their records.

Point being, if anyone were to claim to be injured, they would know whom to contact and under what authority that device was legal under law. That really made sense to me.

Also, dealt with DoD Safety people (the US Department of Defense, of course). They are equally as understanding....although they could be pigs if they wanted.

Really...please help me to see what the deal is.

Sure. It's self regulation. Same as all of the ISO standards. If one is accredited for whichever standard, one is audited to confirm that fact. Republicans want to remove that.

In other words, if I had lied to OSHA about he Laser we were using and someone got hurt, then me and company would skate-away penalty free and giggling at the human catastrophe!

And May is in hot water over her lacklustre response to Trump's Muslim ban:

The obvious problem is how can she cozy up to someone as touchy as Trump if he keeps doing things like this? Even if she kisses his ass how will he take it if the proposed state visit goes ahead and he's met by hostile crowds? Our whole post-Brexit trading relationship with the USA could come down to if some protestor hits Trump with an egg or a flour bomb...

If you're a UK citizen and want to avert such an indignity - sign this petition to Parliament. It has already easily reached the number of signatures required for it to be considered for debate.
