The Paris Accord (I think that was the agreement) was an achievement that was Nobel Peace Prize worthy.

Kissinger didn't get it by himself. He shared it with the guy from North Vietnam, right?

I think you missed a key detail there but it's off-topic. I recommend you look up why Kissinger didn't deserve the Nobel for this.

I can imagine the displeasure of Trump if he’s been informed Kushner has been nominated or Fox reports it.

Yes, some alt-right winger was in the position to nominate Trump and did so last time and again this time.

It would be great if BLM won the prize while neither Kushner nor Trump did. I can't see Kushner winning when all he is is a stooge of Trump's.

Is there some leadership person(s) in BLM that have had talks or roundtables with various police entities about their concerns to come to some peaceful resolution? Not just demanding justice for specific wrongs?
Maybe the DoJ was involved? Who were the peacetalkers here?


After all, who would accept the award? Who? It has to be someone who has promoted some peaceful solution to the injustice.
"Justice" can be many things, even war, insurrection...as long as the goal is met. Right?
But "peace" must be a resolution of sides to commit to shared goals of

stopping violence and coming to some shared resolution.

(even if it is not in earnest or doesnt last.. as we have seen from past recipience! Peace Prizes are an endeavor of hope it seems)

Britteny Packett met with Obama, Lewis, police chiefs, and the like back in 2016 - and others like Deray McKesson were known presences at the same time for talks with the DoJ and whatnot, as were activists like Sharpton (both for police brutality and for general gun violence, including mass shootings in schools).

These collapsed under Toupee Fiasco, of course, since he basically liked police brutality, to the point of the DoJ trying to toss out consent decrees they had already won under Obama such as in Baltimore after the police-sparked rioting and the wild corruption of, among other groups, the Gun Trace Task Force.

After all, who would accept the award? Who? It has to be someone who has promoted some peaceful solution to the injustice.

That's been basically every local BLM group, really. The major problem is that the national group is relatively weak, in order to allow local groups to address their own needs (and avoid simple arrests/murders of leadership). Thus the number of activists that have run for office to change policy, both locally and in Cori Bush's case federally.

Reuters reports that Stacy Abrahams has been nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize. I think she has a good chance of getting it. Having once suffered voter oppression herself, she campaigned to get people who are normally shy of voting to get in their vote, in poor urban cities. They did in their thousands, thus swinging the vote to Biden, as urbanites tend more to the Democrats than the rural folk. She achieved something quite revolutionary and showed the power of democracy in action. She swung the vote in Georgia IIRC.
