Navy SEAL was to Osama, what Jack Ruby was to Oswald.
Keep backpedaling....Unless, of course, the woman may be armed or wearing a suicide vest, in which case caution is quite reasonable.
They were in bed, doing what married couples do. Bin Laden would not want her wearing a bomb vest to bed, in case she misunderstood if he said blow me.
People lift cars off their kids in emergencies; a woman could actually discommode a soldier if she were so inclined.
It is not too much to ask for soldiers, acting in a Law Enforcement capacity, by catching a fugitive of the Department of Justice, not the Defense Department, to not shoot unarmed people who are supposed to be brought to a Justice of the Court.
We need to see the helmet cam videos, so we can judge if there was reason to shoot. But there "happened" to be a malfunction. I'm tired of their lying to the public and taxpayers who funded this operation.
If you don't want to be viewed as a threat, lie facedown on the ground with your hands behind your head. Even that's not guaranteed, if there's a risk of a suicide vest.
If we don't stop this thinking in Pakistan, it will eventually come home to roost. We don't want police stopping old ladies for a traffic ticket, and treating her like she has a suicide vest.
That's like saying social workers need to train firefighters how to remove babies from cribs in fires; their expertise in the matter is under very different conditions.
US Marshals, FBI Agents and cops take on some pretty tough gangs, and manage to bring them in alive most of the time.
who would likely be very glad to become a martyr?
If he wanted to be a martyr that bad he wouldn't be hiding.
Are these hypothetical assailants in my house, which may be rigged up with who-knows-what?
They could have taken their time, surrounded the place, with the help of thousands of soldiers from the PMA down the street who were also looking for Bin Laden. Bomb sniffing dogs could have been sent in.
This was a lynching, and was done secretly from the Pakistan Army because they would have brought Bin Laden in alive, and given him a trial.
No arrest authority in most parts of the world, very little counter-terrorism experience.
There is no authority anywhere to kill unarmed people.
Muslim custom allows sea burial. You've descended to the level of bald-faced denial.
The sacred texts of Islam prefer burial on land, "so deep that its smell does not come out and the beasts of prey do not dig it out". However, if a person dies at sea and it is not possible to bring the body back to land before decay, or if burial at land becomes impossible, burial at sea is allowed.
Also, Saudi Arabia didn't want him back, and Christianity, AFAIK, doesn't actually require family to be present.
The Bin Ladens should have the right to see him.
They've been crying he was framed/on ice for years before, why stop now?
I heard that by Dr. Steve Pieczenik on Alex Jones, but find it far fetched that Bin Laden's wives and kids would be staged for all these years.
Call me crazy, but a guy who twice denied taking part in two separate terrorist incidents, then admitted it later, is not exactly a credible witness.
Yes Mr. Crazy

Bin Laden denied it, and only a falsified video by right handed Fatty Bin Laden, supposedly admitted it.
The main objection I have to this is that the Navy SEAL was to Bin Laden, like Jack Ruby was to Lee Harvey Oswald. He killed the patsy fall guy who was the cover-up for the real perpetrators, before he had the chance to testify in court. So LBJ et al. got away with murder (according to his attorney).
Bush and Cheney had a lot more motivation and power to commit the crimes on 9/11 than Bin Laden. I just don't like to see sneaky murderers get away with it, and pretending to be nice guys.
