Bigfoot: The Invisible Variety

No Tirdun, I am recollecting that a Colonel visited OSU 1970 or 1971 and spoke to a room full of ROTC cadets and their commander, where he explained all paranormal phases of the Bigfoot and blew their minds. No non-Army personnel were likely in the room. ROTC cadets are required to keep government secrets. Except every student at OSU learned about it in short order.

OK, so now this "secret" government bigfoot information was known to all students at OSU in 1970-71 and by all students at Berkeley in 1974-75, and even some carpenters in Colorado.

At what point, Hist, did you first become a believer in the paranormal bigfoot you describe in this thread? Was it before the OSU ROTC incident?

As pointed out, ROTC cadets aren't required to swear anything upon entry. Even if they were, classified information is revealed on a need-to-know basis. ROTC cadets aren't in the need to know, even if they're guarding people (scientists) working on a classified project.

Not that this makes any less sense than the rest of your story.

This went from insane to completely ridiculous.

There is a huge, and I mean HUGE government conspiracy in the works.

The goal: Keep bigfoot a secret and gather/supress evidence of bigfoot.

Scope of coverup: All agencies of the government including other countries.

People that need to know: OSU ROTC students!?!?!

Come on, I'll even pretend this part of the discussion never happened if you back out of it now.

LTC, ROTC cadets are sworn to keep government secrets. It's part of their contract. Of course, they were extremely poor at it, being one year out of high school and all.

I served, Historian. Try that garbage on someone else.

ROTC Cadets are not told about such government secrets.

Oh, also Hist: can you give us the name of one person who was in that ROTC class who can confirm your story? Or, the name of one person enrolled at Berkeley at the time who can confirm?

I had no great interest in Bigfoot until 1990 or so. And did not fully understand nor believe the paranormal Bigfoot, until I was charged by a Bigfoot for 600 yards across a clearcut, in 2004. Which occured directly after an incident where two ran at me through thick brush, while performing dimension changes, ON THE FLY. And which was immediately followed by me demonstrating their existence to the local tribal officer on swing shift, where we had 3 bigfoot within 20 feet which moved back and forth in thick brush without moving any branches or making any branch movement noises. So they existed in a different dimension than the branches. All of this happened in the same night, which was my initiation. The tribal officer is still telling the story today, since that was his closest experience. This same officer was hypnotised into passing out for about 1/2 hour, when he was just thinking about shooting a bigfoot. It also happened to another young tribal officer as well. As I said, supernatural.

U.C. Berkeley staff:
World renown Professor Ray Clough
World renown Professor Joe Penzien
World renown Professor Alex Scordellis

The ROTC cadet would be in violation of the law, and thus would not like his name pubished on the internet.

LTC, Once again, you were not there so you cannot state that under no conditions are ROTC cadets told about government secrets. I saw that Colonels speech as more of a guinea pig experiment to see whether the cadets could handle the truth. They couldn't and obviously not too many people here can either.

So, you were in the ROTC class when the General spoke about bigfoot and you didn't believe. You were at Berkeley where everyone knew that there were captured bigfoot on campus and that time was reassigned to accommodate their existence and you still did not believe (you were one of the few skeptics at Berkeley?). But, you started to believe in 1990 when you had an encounter in the woods.

OK

Two questions:
  1. Could it be that you are misremembering events from ROTC and Berkeley? I mean, they were 20 years earlier and you didn't believe in bigfoot at the time.
  2. Why were you in the woods that night?

Interesting. 3 engineering professors? And you honestly believe they'll corroborate your story? Well, one of them obviously cannot - Scordelis died about 2 months ago.

Clough and Penzien are still very much alive and I have their contact info thanks to a nice lady at the Berkeley Earthquake Engineering Research Center. If I contact them and direct them here to this forum & thread, what do you think their reaction will be?

I think Historian will say they are not allowed to talk about it so they will deny it.

Historian, stop treating us like imbeciles. Your silly lies are what are transparent, not bigfoot. If the government wants to test you regarding classified info, they do it with fake classified info, not real classified info.

Mods, I think it's time to ban this boastful clown. His fabrications have no place here and we are replying to him simply for amusement. He is clearly well off of plumb, imo. There is no point in promoting his alternate reality, or allowing him to use the JREF to promote and build that alternate reality.

I think it is time to move on to diagnosis.

My bet is on schizophrenia.

Historian, please see someone with an MD after their name, get on some medication. Seriously.

Convert us to the One True Faith?

Or, more likely, throw a bunch of ◊◊◊◊◊◊* crazy stuff against the wall to see what sticks. Then, use those modified arguments to prove to himself that hes not nuts. Problem is, those modifications are requiring more and more mental gymnastics and its getting more ludicrous as we go (I know - hard to imagine).

I liked the forward logical twist followed by a half truth.

His action on the non-parallel dimension bars was pretty good too.

Just hope he doesn't break a metabone or sprain a rational muscle.

Goodbye, Historian.

May your weird version of reality help ease you along your path to insanity.

On to ignore you go.

I will have to admit that I have had historian on ignore this entire time, my tolerance for drivel not being sufficient to read all his posts. The proper amount of drivel is that which is quoted by other posters in their replys.

Lochnar, Gee how can you be an expert on everything that Rather ever said on TV? The short answer is that you can't. So you are in no position to make such a statement, but I know that you aren't going to let that stop you. You must be hell to live with. Between ruling from your throne and making statements based on an impossibility, I don't see how you can stand living with yourself.

Of course, you can prove me wrong and provide a clip of Rather saying this. Oh wait, you can't...because it didn't happen.

That is so wrong, on so many levels...It's a wonder your keyboard just does not explode from your typing such nonsense.

I'm holding out for your painting a "S" on your chest and proclaiming to really be from the planet Krypton.

What you said. However, my guess is that historian inhabits the Fourth Dementia. Maybe therapy would help. Who knows?

One thing that's always puzzled me is why these nuts hinge their whole bieng on making people believe in their woo. I've seen some critters that are not endemic where I live. If I told someone about them and they did not believe they exist, big deal. No skin off my back. Maybe they'll look them up when they get home but I couldn't care less.
