If they were or become that big of a threat, it would be a simple matter for the government to start a covert program to prevent reproduction and promote infant mortality rates among the population. They would probably figure out what pathogen they are most sensitive too, something like polio, something we are required to be immunized against, and introduce it among their population and let nature take it's course.

I'm sure we have gubmint syintists working on that already.

Haa!!!! It's still cool! (and funny that footers don't vet things better than this before posting them as real)

I think that's one of Doug Higley's but I'm currently trying to verify that.

That is hilarious. From the lack of eye protection I'd say they lived "In the land of the blind, where a one eyed man is king."

China wants its share of sas tourism©:
BEIJING (Xinhua) -- Shennongjia, a forest region and long rumored home of the elusive Bigfoot-like ape man in the central province of Hubei, wants eco-tourism there to boost the underdeveloped region's economy.

Less than two months after the Shennongjia Nature Reserve was named a national 5A-Class Scenic Spot by the National Tourism Administration, the region has teamed up with Beijing, seeking the Chinese capital's help to develop its tourism.

The Shennongjia Forest Region and Beijing Municipal Commission of Tourism Development signed an agreement earlier this week, according to which Beijing will help Shennongjia promote tourism.

Travel agencies in Beijing will launch several "Beijing + Shennongjia" tour programs, said Qian Yuankun, Party chief of the forest region.

*is this the origin of "shenannigan?" I thought it was Irish.

ps I am copyrighting the expressions "sas tourism" and "squatch tourism".

ha ha I hereby copyright sex squatch.
but I'll license it to you for $1.

Several countries have become preferred destinations for sas tourists. These include Brazil,[5][6] Costa Rica,[7][8] Cuba,[9][10] the Dominican Republic,[11][12] Kenya,[13] the Netherlands, the Philippines, Colombia, and Thailand.[14]
One can smell a lot of things on Khaosan Road- patchouli, pineapples, Pad Thai, and as well, the more pungent odor of sas tourism- the question is, whether or not it’s all about peace, love and happiness.

Sas tourism, present throughout the world, is particularly prevalent in South East Asia, where the connected problems of AIDS and poverty, continue to flourish and claim lives at unprecedented rates.

Sas tourists, defined as “those who travel to a country for the sole purpose of having sasquatch sex” see it as an opportunity, or even an entitlement, to have sas available for less money than they would pay at home.

According to Bigfoot author Barbara Wasson, "[Patterson] never went back to Bluff Creek, to any search except Thailand."

Bigfoot, it frequents, backyards, trailer parks, rest areas, and State Parks, it is frequently seen crossing four lane highways, semi-rural parking lots, and poking through dumpsters. Despite the relatively frequent sightings, in fairly well visited places, the Bigfoot cannot be captured on Game cam. Bigfooters will claim that they are savvy to the ways of the game cam, not susceptible to the wiles of modern photographic technology.

To that I say "Bam", and present a creature so elusive, that it was thought to be extinct. A primate as well, living in a jungle environment far less navigable than the hilly forests of the North America. As the article explains;
The pictures showed Miller's grizzled langur, one of the rarest and least-known primates on the island of Borneo, and also a species many suggested was extinct or on the verge of extinction

Yes, "BAM" they caught one of these on a game cam. But can't get a bead on the squatch.

Drew, good point! I stayed a week in Borneo quite a few years ago now, and it was honestly primitive country there. I took a path I shouldn't have, and realized why the others in our group took the known one. A full day of hiking an ancient, primitive trail through thick jungle. I was in good shape, but the up down and sideways of it all killed my legs. I honestly had to walk backwards for a while to relieve the pain in my knee. It was nowhere near as easy traveling as the forests I've hiked here in the PNW.

Clearly that little langur doesn't have infrared sensing night vision, otherwise it would have seen the camera and avoided it. Oh wait, it's looking right at the camera, so it DID see it and not worry it was Man trying to find it.

What you say is one of the most fundamental things about bigfoot. I always think of how embarrassed I'd be if I were in the position of having to formulate an argument against that line of thinking. Yeah, forests are big, and vast, and can be pretty formidable to explore, BUT... The forest is only used as a hiding place where people can't find them, and they seem to be able to run back to the forests quick as a flash because they are always seen closer in, like you say. The forest shield can't possibly extend into rural areas. They can only hide when they go way out primitive. How to explain them hiding in near in places? Boggles the mind. :-)

We can infer bigfoot has a sensory perception similar to bats, dolphins, and other animals that allows them to detect electronic devices.

Yah, we can infer that, but the footers will just tell it to you as though it is a fact.

Ah yeah, cool CGI faked flight. A lot of people have been fooled by that one too! :-)

What.. That wasnt real ???

I am thinking about taking out an insurance policy from Old Glory to protect myself from Sasquatch and also flying men... with a rider to cover The Blob protection.
